The Watch

Introducing the Sharkmaster 1000 SMS1001M in a limited edition of just 199 pieces: a genuine dive watch with exceptional water resistance. Robustly built, it features a round case in stainless steel measuring 44 mm in diameter, 17.10 mm thick, and 51.90 mm in length. Coated in a 5N rose gold PVD plating and finished with a brushed top surface and polished sides, it is topped by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal that is 4.50 mm thick, delivering optimal dial visibility and maximum scratch protection. Surrounding it is a unidirectional bezel with 120 clicks, coated in 5N rose gold PVD. Knurled, it features a ceramic insert in black with a graduated dive scale marked by luminescent indices. The crown is screwed down at 3 o'clock and protected by a small extension, decorated with the OceanX logo and easy to operate for setting the hours, minutes, and date. A helium escape valve at 9 o'clock activates at depth to prevent pressure build-up inside the case. The case back is screwed down and engraved with the brand name and a shark at the center. This brushed back is 3.80 mm thick and ensures water resistance to 100 ATM.

The Dial

This watch features a well-designed round dial that is a pleasure to read. Clean and refined, it embraces the classic codes of dive watch design. It showcases a striking meteorite base with attractive geometric patterns, providing excellent contrast and instant readability through oversized rose gold-colored markers. The hours are marked by round indices - except at 6 and 9 o'clock, which feature rectangles, and 12 o'clock, marked by a triangle. All are filled with luminescence for clear legibility day and night. They are accompanied by a white minute track and encircled by a rose gold bezel ring adorned with a white zirconium oxide at 6 o'clock. At 12 o'clock, the inscription "Helium Escape Valve" appears in black. The Mercedes hands are crisply designed, indicating hours and minutes with precision, while the seconds are shown by a slender sweep hand with an apple tip and a counterbalance with a round disc. All three are luminescent for enhanced nighttime visibility. Completing the dial's functionality, a date window sits at 3 o'clock with a white background and a rose gold frame that matches the overall dial. Finally, the brand name and its logo are placed below 12 o'clock as a signature.

The Movement

This model is powered by a Japanese automatic movement - specifically the NH35 caliber supplied by Seiko, featuring 24 jewels. With a power reserve of 41 hours, it beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and includes a stop-seconds function. This movement delivers accurate and reliable display of hours, minutes, seconds, and the date.

The Strap

Comfortable and pleasant to wear, the strap on this model is crafted in black rubber. Carefully made, it is flexible and durable, featuring a pin buckle in rose gold PVD stainless steel for easy adjustment. This strap measures 21 mm wide at the lug and has a long section of 127 mm and a short section of 78 mm.

Water Resistance

Water-resistant to 100 atmospheres, or 1,000 meters, this watch is purpose-built for deep-sea diving.
