Nixon Sentry Leather Matte Black/Gold Watch A105-1041

Understated in silhouette, this timepiece makes its statement through indexes and a crown in absolute harmony: a bold gold finish that pops with exponential visual impact against a near-pitch-black backdrop, while a Japanese quartz movement quietly ticks away beneath the surface.

The Watch
Protected by reinforced mineral crystal and featuring four matte black steel lugs, this round case delivers a robust design in stainless steel. The screw-back case offers a 42mm diameter. The fixed stainless steel bezel is matte black, matching the case. Note that the crown at 3 o'clock - used for time-setting and engraved with the brand logo - is finished in gold-toned steel. The case back displays the ATM water resistance rating along with the Nixon brand name engraving.

The Dial
The black dial features gold-toned steel "baton"-style faceted triangular indexes. The minute track is printed with gold-colored beams that echo the seconds hand. The hour and minute hands are skeletonized and finished in black. The Nixon brand name appears below the 12 o'clock index in gold lettering. A rectangular day-date window at 3 o'clock displays gold characters on a black background.

The Strap
This deeply nocturnal bracelet features a pin buckle and a black stainless steel loop with a double keeper. With a 23mm lug width and crafted from imported leather, it is - unsurprisingly - black, reinforcing the model's bold aesthetic.

Water Resistance
With a water resistance of 10 ATM (100 meters), this watch can handle lap swimming and surfing - but it is not rated for scuba diving.

The Movement
