Founded in 1881, Seiko is a Japanese company with deep-rooted expertise in watchmaking - celebrated by enthusiasts worldwide for its craftsmanship and outstanding value. Since its earliest days, the brand has continuously pushed the boundaries of innovation, driven by an ambition to deliver technically excellent, high-quality timepieces. Today, it introduces the Sports SUR575P1 watch, a testament to that relentless pursuit of performance. Robust and precise, it features a barrel-shaped case crafted from stainless steel, built for lasting durability. Finished in silver, it is enhanced by a careful vertical brushing across the entire surface - except the bezel - and polished beveled edges on the sides. Designed to complement the delicate wrists of women, the case measures 34 mm in diameter and 8.20 mm in thickness. It is topped by a flat sapphire crystal, offering superior scratch resistance to keep the dial looking its best. The crown - elegant, signed, and beautifully knurled - sits at 3 o'clock and handles the setting of the hours, minutes, and date. The whole is sealed by a screwed case back that delivers 10 ATM water resistance.
The dial strikes an attractive balance between design and innovative watchmaking technology. Clean and uncluttered, it features a blue base accented by horizontal stripes that lend it a striking visual depth. The outer edge is defined by a classic minutes railroad track paired with baton indices in gray, creating an elegant contrast. Treated with Lumibrite for excellent legibility in low-light conditions, these markers are complemented by faceted hour and minute hands and a slender seconds hand. The layout is completed by a date window at 3 o'clock with a white background and silver frame. The finishing touch is the brand's signature, proudly displayed at 12 o'clock.
A high-performance quartz movement powers this timepiece - specifically the in-house Seiko caliber 6N42, Japanese-made and accurate to ±15 seconds. Reliable and precise, it delivers an analog display with a handy date function. It runs on a 364 battery with an impressive 3-year autonomy.
The bracelet paired with this watch is both functional and refined. Crafted from stainless steel, it is made up of a row of links elegantly connected with chamfered edges. Its silver tone is beautifully enhanced by alternating polished and brushed finishes, adding a sophisticated edge. The bracelet fastens with a well-built single deployant clasp with push-button release for a secure, comfortable fit throughout the day.
With water resistance of 100 meters - or 10 ATM in the language of watchmaking - this proud-looking timepiece handles black-tie events and poolside moments with equal ease. Wear it in the shower, the bath, or while swimming (even at full speed). That said, our watch experts want to make it clear: this model is not built for scuba diving - freediving or with tanks - or for use near high-pressure washers. Remember: shower, bath, and swimming only - and never operate the pushers or crown while submerged.
