Swiss watchmaker Tissot, founded in 1853, has long been synonymous with stylish, elegant, and high-quality timekeeping. Today an official timekeeper of cycling's greatest races - the Tour de France, the Giro, and the Vuelta - Tissot has earned a premier place in the world of watchmaking. From the T-Sport collection, the Seastar Powermatic 80 - T1204071109101 is a watch that will capture hearts, especially those of divers. It features a barrel-shaped case in silver stainless steel with a 43 mm diameter. Inside that same case sits a round dial framed by a black ceramic bezel - specifically a counterclockwise rotating bezel. Green with a gradient finish, the dial of the T1204071109101 brings a bold touch of originality. It features three central hands: two luminescent hands and a silent T-shaped sweep seconds hand nodding to the brand's initial. Together they display the hours, minutes, and seconds. A luminescent dot-and-stick index surrounds them, complete with an arrow marker at 12 o'clock and a minute track. On the right side of the watch at 3 o'clock sits a screw-down crown - also known as a manual winding crown - for effortless time-setting. A flat sapphire crystal tops it all, providing superior protection. Finally, its screw-down and transparent case back give this timepiece a water resistance of 30 ATM, or 300 meters.
The dial is undoubtedly the standout feature of this timepiece. Round in shape, it showcases a striking gradient green finish. At its center, three hands track the hours, minutes, and seconds - specifically two luminescent silver hands and a silent T-shaped sweep seconds hand. Surrounding them, a luminescent dot-and-stick index and a minute track complete the layout, with a distinctive arrow index marker at the 12 o'clock position. A black ceramic bezel frames the dial, marking the minutes in increments of ten. At the 3 o'clock position, a screw-down crown lets you set the time with ease. Various details - including the brand name, founding year, collection, water resistance, and movement type - are printed at 12 and 6 o'clock. Finally, a flat sapphire crystal sits above the dial, offering reliable protection against shocks and scratches.
At the heart of this case beats a Swiss automatic movement - more specifically an ETA Powermatic 80. Powered entirely by your wrist's natural motion, it brings the watch's analog display to life.
To seamlessly complement the case, the T1204071109101 features a bracelet also crafted in silver stainless steel. It measures 21 mm wide at the lug and secures comfortably around your wrist with a butterfly clasp.
With water resistance to 300 meters - that's 30 ATM in watchmaking terms - even Captain Nemo would envy this timepiece built for the deep. Bath, shower, swimming, or diving (free or scuba) - this watch handles it all and comes out gleaming. Our team of watch experts at Ocarat has just two requests:
· Do not operate the pushers or the crown while submerged.
· The most stunning photo of an exotic deep-sea fish you've ever taken - with the watch alongside if possible. We'd love to display it in our offices and on our Instagram page!
