Becker invites you to explore their world through this beautiful medal depicting Saint Mark. Born in Galilee, his name comes from the Latin word for "merchant." He grew up in the house where Jesus's disciples gathered. He would go on to author a Gospel - the second of the New Testament - then serve as Bishop of Alexandria before being executed by non-believers in 67 AD.

This 750/1000 yellow gold (18K) medal features two distinct finishes. The saint and his halo are sandblasted, giving a matte effect, while the rest of the medal is polished to a brilliant shine. Saint Mark is depicted holding a book and a quill, writing his Gospel beside a winged lion - a symbol of the prophet Ezekiel's vision of four animals representing the future four Gospels.
