The Watch
Japanese manufacturer Orient presents a timepiece built for explorers of the seas and oceans, featuring a robust and resilient case. With distinctly masculine proportions - 41.5 mm in diameter and 13 mm thick - this silver-tone stainless steel case delivers 20 atmospheres of water resistance. A precise unidirectional rotating bezel tracks every achievement on land and at sea, while a mineral crystal shields the dial below. The screwed-down case back locks everything in place. A winding crown at 3 o'clock keeps the watch perfectly set.
The Dial
Inspired by the color of the ocean, the dial of this timepiece is a deep, sunray-finished blue. Three hands display the hours, minutes, and seconds, pointing to geometric hour markers around the dial's perimeter. The hands and markers feature luminescent treatment for legibility even in the darkest conditions. Two windows at 3 o'clock show the date and the day in English. The Japanese brand signs its name with its logo at 12 o'clock, while the water resistance rating is displayed at 6 o'clock.
The Movement
This timepiece is powered by a Japanese-made automatic movement. Developed in-house by Orient, caliber F6922 drives the hour, minute, and second hands, as well as the two windows (date and day). It runs at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour.
The Strap
This timepiece ships with a silver-tone stainless steel bracelet. Its three-link construction delivers a bold, masculine look. It secures around the wrist with a deployment clasp featuring two pushers. The lug width measures 22 millimeters.
Water Resistance
At 20 atmospheres - 200 meters - this watch earns the "dive watch" title without question. That said, our watchmaking experts are clear: while it handles showers, baths, active swimming, and freediving with ease, it is not rated for professional scuba diving with tanks, where pressure would exceed its limits. For serious divers, we recommend models rated 30 ATM and above. And a universal reminder: keep the pushers and crown dry while submerged to maintain a perfect seal.
