The brand Timex never stops crafting perfectly reliable everyday watches with captivating designs that are highly equipped to accompany you in any condition. Of American origin, it offers models combining robustness and reliability, making them functional timepieces for everyday wear. Today, it presents the Q Timex Reissue 1971 Velocity TW2W22400 watch, a modern reissue evoking the adrenaline-fuelled racing scene of the 1970s. Embodying the style and thrill of an era revered as the golden age of motorsport, it captures the sophisticated charm of an iconic electric watch from that period. It reveals a case crafted in brushed and polished stainless steel, granting you undeniable durability and shine. Taking a tonneau shape, it measures 36 mm in diameter with a thickness of 9.50 mm. Silver-toned, it is fitted with a domed acrylic crystal enhancing the dial. This is surrounded by a round rotary bezel with an aluminium insert featuring minute graduations. The latter is specially designed to track and measure elapsed time with precision. The case also features a grey crown at 3 o'clock, enabling adjustment of the various central elements. Finally, this model is fitted with a case back secured by four screws ensuring a water resistance of 5 ATM.
This charming dial will offer you a pleasant reading of the time. It features a matte black background revealing the famous chequered flag that signals victory on the circuit. With its varied tones, it presents a minute railway that alternates with round indices serving as hour markers. With their beige colour, these stand out with ease. A red-coloured cross runs through the centre of the dial with three hands indicating the time with precision. These consist of a striking thin seconds hand in orange that is reminiscent of a speedometer needle and indicates the seconds. It is followed by a large hand indicating the minutes and a short hand for the hours. White in colour, these last two are coated with a luminescent treatment also found on the hour indices, offering you optimal legibility in low-light conditions. A date window joins them at 3 o'clock for added functionality. Finally, the movement type is indicated near 6 o'clock, while the brand places its name below 12 o'clock as a signature.
This watch is equipped with a high-quality quartz movement that ensures its proper functioning and smooth operation. Entirely high-performing, it provides great resistance to vibrations. It will drive the hands and the date window reliably, offering you a flawless display of the hours, minutes, seconds and date.
This magnificent strap continues the influence of high-speed automobile design. Black in colour, it will pair with any accessories of your choice. It is made from textured and perforated synthetic rubber, giving it an incredible look. It features a lug width of 20 mm and is fitted with a pin buckle for easy adjustment.
With its water resistance of 50 metres, or 5 ATM in common watchmaking language, here is a timekeeper that is not afraid of water, but does not wish to be in prolonged contact with it. Clearly, you can afford to shower with it occasionally, but in order to preserve the quality and precision of the mechanism, all of our watch specialists strongly advise keeping it away from the H2O molecules found in the bath, the pool or the sea. In short, no swimming or scuba diving, and no prolonged contact or immersion.
