An undisputed force in the global watchmaking industry, Seiko has always delivered exceptional value for money paired with ever-evolving design. True to that philosophy, the Japanese manufacture now introduces its latest creation: the Prospex Speedtimer Solar Chronograph SSC911P1. This stunning solar chronograph features a round case with a diameter of 41mm. Its shape and size make it a natural fit on any men's wrist. At just 13mm thick, it sits comfortably on the wrist throughout the day. A true sports watch, it features a stainless steel bezel with a white tachymeter scale - letting you measure the average speed of an object over one kilometer. A scratch-resistant domed sapphire crystal protects the dial, enhanced with an anti-reflective coating. To operate the chronograph, two push-buttons are positioned on the right side of the case. The one at 2 o'clock starts and pauses the chronograph, while the one at 4 o'clock resets it. The crown, used to set the time and date, is located at 3 o'clock and features a knurled grip for easy handling. The screw-down caseback bears the Prospex logo.
A refined white panda-style dial takes center stage. Running along its edge, a white minute track on a black background allows for precise, minute-by-minute time reading. The hour indices feature a rectangular shape, crafted entirely in stainless steel with a polished finish. Baton-style hands indicate the hours and minutes, both in black with Lumibrite at their centers for low-light visibility. The chronograph seconds hand stands out in a bold red, adding dynamism and easy readability. The 3 sub-dials feature a rich dark blue tone with a sunray finish. The two at 3 o'clock and 6 o'clock are linked to the chronograph - the first displaying up to 24 hours continuously, the second up to 60 minutes. Note that the red hand on the latter also serves as a power reserve indicator. The third sub-dial displays the small seconds. A discreet yet functional date window is positioned between 4 and 5 o'clock. The brand signs its creation at 12 o'clock with its logo, accompanied by the Prospex collection emblem.
This decidedly sporty watch is also highly modern in its operation. It is powered by a Seiko V192 solar caliber. The defining feature of this movement is its ability to recharge via any light source - natural or artificial. At full charge, it delivers a power reserve of 6 months! In terms of accuracy, this movement offers a maximum drift of +/- 15 seconds per month.
A sleek brushed stainless steel bracelet completes this chronograph. Built on a 3-link design, it delivers excellent flexibility without sacrificing durability. The clasp is a deployant buckle with push-button opening. A micro-adjustment system lets you dial in the perfect fit.
This model offers water resistance of 10 atmospheres, or 100 meters - making it a truly water-resistant timepiece. Whether you're jumping in puddles or taking a dip in the pool, this watch is ready for it. Showers, baths, and recreational swimming are all fair game. That said, our Ocarat watch experts want to be clear: while this model is water-resistant, it is not designed for diving (recreational or professional) and should not be exposed to high-pressure cleaning equipment. We also recommend keeping the crown and push-buttons dry during submersion.
