The Seiko story begins in 1881, when 22-year-old entrepreneur Kintaro Hattori opened a small clock repair shop in Tokyo - and with it, one of the most important watchmaking houses in the world. Driven by a relentless pursuit of perfection and a commitment to Japanese excellence, Seiko has continuously pushed the boundaries of technology and innovation, creating timepieces that are as technically refined as they are beautifully designed. From its Prospex collection, the brand now presents the King Turtle Watch SRPK01K1, a dive watch built to be your companion on every adventure. This special edition celebrates the long-standing partnership between Seiko and the world's leading dive training organization: PADI. Rising to every challenge of innovation and design, it brings a modern, sport-chic edge to any look - reliable and high-performing, day in and day out. Its "Hublot" case is crafted from stainless steel with a polished finish for timeless elegance and lasting wear. Designed for men, it weighs 198 g and measures 45 mm in diameter and 13.20 mm thick - the perfect dimensions for all-day comfort in any situation. A counterclockwise unidirectional bezel adds a refined accent to the watch through its blue ceramic insert, marked with a minute track and a Lumibrite triangular marker to help you track elapsed time. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating for optimal legibility. To set the hands and both windows, a screw-down crown is positioned at 4 o'clock. Finally, the screw-down caseback ensures water resistance to 200 meters on this special edition.
In perfect harmony with the bezel, a round dial sits at the heart of the case, bringing a refreshing lightness to the watch. Its background captures the soul of the sea with its stunning navy blue color, brushed and sunburst lines reminiscent of sunrays, and a striking turtle scale pattern. It draws every eye and delivers a clean, fluid analog display with date and day complications. These are handled by two windows with a white background at 3 o'clock, enhanced by a cyclops lens. At the center, a blue arrow hand and a grey sword hand sweep smoothly alongside a slender grey seconds hand tipped with a small dot. Coated with Lumibrite, they display hours, minutes, and seconds clearly even in low-light or dark conditions. A minute track runs along the perimeter, marked with white lines and white rectangles every five minutes. It encircles eleven Lumibrite indices of varying shapes, giving the watch a captivating look while making the hours easy to read at a glance. Seiko signs the dial below 12 o'clock with its name and displays the PADI organization name, the movement type, and the water resistance at 6 o'clock.
This watch is powered by the caliber 4R36, developed in-house by Seiko and equipped with 24 jewels, delivering reliable performance in any condition. Running at a frequency of 3 Hz - 21,600 vibrations per hour - this Japanese automatic movement offers a 40-hour power reserve. It drives the hands and both display windows smoothly and accurately, giving you a clear and reliable read of the hours, minutes, seconds, date, and day.
Seiko fits this special edition with a stainless steel bracelet built from three rows of links and finished with a polished surface that gives it a subtle, refined shine. Comfortable yet sturdy, it wraps gently around your wrist with just the right amount of flexibility - easy to style with any outfit, whether you're hitting the city or diving underwater. With a 22 mm lug width, it features a single folding clasp for a secure fit throughout the day, complete with a safety lock, push-buttons, and a diving extension.
With a water resistance of 200 meters - or 20 ATM in the precise language of watchmaking - this watch is built for shallow-water diving. It handles everything from showers and baths to the ocean and pool during casual, non-professional dives (including freediving). For professional scuba diving, our Ocarat watch experts have handpicked a selection of 30 ATM models available in our catalog. One last reminder before you go: never operate the pushers or crown while submerged!
