A trailblazer in watchmaking technology, the iconic Seiko brand has rivaled the world's most prestigious Swiss names since 1881. With a distinctly Japanese mastery reflected in every collection, Seiko stands apart through a perfectionist identity that grows ever more creative and innovative. Every Seiko timepiece carries a unique DNA - impeccable aesthetics, technical mastery, and timeless design - captivating watch enthusiasts and discerning wearers alike. Today, the brand pushes the boundaries yet again, unveiling a new caliber across three dive watches that embody Japanese excellence. Here is its Prospex SPB381 - a modern retro reinterpretation of the iconic 1968 Seiko Divers' classic design. It adorns your wrist with elegance and refinement, bringing a breath of fresh air to your look. Reliable and determined, it will accompany you through every activity and stand the test of time with its enduring charm. Its barrel-shaped case measures 48.60 mm in length, 42 mm in diameter, and 12.90 mm in thickness - proportions thoughtfully crafted to complement men's wrists. Built from stainless steel with an ultra-robust coating for superior resistance to daily wear and tear. Scratch-resistant, a unidirectional fluted bezel with a green ceramic insert features a minute track and a LumiBrite marker. It lends the watch a laid-back edge while helping you track elapsed time underwater or during any activity. A sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on the inside sits above the dial, absorbing the shocks and scratches of daily use while delivering exceptional legibility. A screw-down crown at 4 o'clock allows manual winding. At the caseback, a screw-down case back ensures water resistance up to 20 ATM.
With a sunray finish, the round dial sits elegantly at the heart of the case, bringing a refined casual touch to the overall design. It is draped in a delicate green hue and features brushed lines for added visual depth. A thin grey paddle seconds hand sweeps across the dial. Two grey hands join in to complete the reading, indicating hours and minutes. The hours are marked by triangular and round indices and a double index at 12 o'clock - all coated with LumiBrite for flawless legibility in low-light conditions. The dial ring features a minute track and a GMT scale graduated with Arabic numerals and triangles, allowing you to read a second time zone via the gold arrow-type hand. A date window is positioned between 4 and 5 o'clock. Finally, the brand signs the dial at 12 o'clock with its name and logo, and displays the movement type and water resistance at 6 o'clock.
Inside the case beats an automatic movement of Japanese origin - reliable and efficient in every situation. Manufactured in-house, it is the brand-new Seiko caliber 6R54. Equipped with a hacking seconds function, it keeps the hands moving with smooth precision. It features 24 jewels and offers a power reserve of approximately 72 hours, or 3 days. Hours, minutes, seconds, and GMT time are displayed with accuracy you can count on throughout the day.
This watch features a stainless steel bracelet with three rows of links. Modern and on-trend, it sports a brushed finish and a slim profile for comfortable, everyday wear. Easy to pair with any outfit, it delivers that finishing touch that makes all the difference. It wraps the wrist with refined elegance, staying secure throughout the day thanks to its push-button safety deployant clasp with extension. The lug width measures 20 mm.
This model offers water resistance up to 20 atmospheres, or 200 meters. A timepiece that's built to follow you into the depths! Designed for freediving, it handles high-pressure washers without breaking a sweat. Showering, bathing, lap swimming, and freediving are all fair game. That said, for scuba diving with tanks, we recommend a timepiece with a higher water resistance rating. Also, avoid operating the crown or pushers while submerged to preserve the integrity of the mechanism.
