Founded in 1961 in Germany, Sinn has long captivated watch enthusiasts and professionals alike with its lineup of timepieces that are as high-performing as they are elegant. The brand crafts distinctive watches from robust materials with compelling designs and cutting-edge mechanisms - making each piece an everyday essential. Every creation is rigorously tested by seasoned master watchmakers to guarantee outstanding reliability and an unmatched wearing experience. With a heritage that keeps evolving, Sinn has built a global reputation through continuous innovation and advanced technology, ensuring every piece achieves the highest level of technical excellence. Today, the brand proudly presents its Pilot's Chronograph 156.1 watch - a unique fusion of past and present with an unmistakable character. This contemporary take on the iconic original Model 155 carries the tradition forward, gracing the wrists of discerning men with elegance and refinement. Resistant to low pressure, this watch is built around a micro-blasted and brushed stainless steel case that gives it its striking presence. Finished in silver, it measures 43 mm in diameter and 15.40 mm in thickness, weighing in at 98 g. Its substantial form is fitted with a rotating bezel treated with Tegiment technology to harden it and protect against scratches. Notched on the edges, the bezel features a black insert with a minute scale and a luminescent marker at 12 o'clock. It frames a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides, shielding the dial from impact while ensuring glare-free readability. On the right, a notched crown provides a sure grip and is flanked by two pushers that together control the central functions. Finally, this timepiece is sealed by a screw-down caseback delivering water resistance to 10 ATM.
This dial is perfectly designed for a smooth, accurate read at a glance. It features a striking matte black background framed by a minute track along its perimeter. Arabic numeral indices mark the hours, with central hands ensuring reliable timekeeping. The long and short white hands indicate minutes and hours respectively - both are treated with luminescent coating for low-light legibility, as are the hour markers. They are joined by two red hands: a slender one tracking the chronograph seconds, and another with a pointed airplane-shaped tip for the 60-minute function. For added functionality, two sub-dials sit at 6 and 9 o'clock, displaying 12-hour and small seconds respectively. A date window sits at 3 o'clock alongside the caliber and movement type references. Finally, the brand's name is signed beneath the 12 o'clock position.
At the heart of this model beats an automatic movement renowned for its reliability and robustness. Produced in-house, it is the Sinn SZ01 caliber, oscillating at a frequency of 28,800 vph and fitted with 28 jewels to minimize friction. This Concepto C99001 base mechanism provides resistance against vibrations and magnetic fields per DIN 8309, and guarantees precision for the hands, the chronograph function, and the date display. It features a stop-seconds device and delivers a power reserve of 44 hours.
Minimalist and refined, this strap adds a sleek finishing touch. Crafted from bovine leather, it delivers durability, flexibility, and exceptional comfort - hugging the contours of your wrist beautifully. Its versatile black tone pairs effortlessly with any outfit. Finished with meticulous attention to detail, it features red stitching that echoes the dial's accents and a lug width of 22 mm. A stainless steel pin buckle ensures easy, secure fastening.
This model offers water resistance up to 10 atmospheres, or 100 meters. We're talking about a truly water-resistant watch! Its sporty, likable design means it's ready to join you in any aquatic adventure. From puddles to the swimming pool, this timepiece handles water exposure without complaint. Showering, bathing, and lap swimming are no match for it. That said, our Ocarat watchmaking experts want you to know that while this model is water-resistant, it is not suitable for diving (professional or recreational) and should be kept away from high-pressure cleaning equipment. We also recommend avoiding use of the crown or pushers while the watch is submerged.
