What do we do with the data we collect and store? It's a perfectly legitimate question — here is a breakdown of the key personal information we gather and the purpose behind each.

1. Your identity and mailing address: This information is required so we can ship your purchases to you.
2. Your email address and phone numbers: Essential for order tracking and managing our conversation history during extended exchanges. With your prior consent, we may also send you newsletters about our offers and promotions. If you no longer wish to receive them, you are free to unsubscribe at any time from your customer account.
3. Your gender: This simply allows us to tailor our communications to you.
4. Your date of birth: We use this to wish you a happy birthday — only if you'd like us to.
5. Our communication history: We use this to track conversations with our customers — for example, to monitor the progress of a complaint resolution.
6. Your purchase history: To honor product warranties and provide after-sales support, we must keep a record of the details associated with each transaction. This is what allows us, for example, to issue invoices and certificates of authenticity provided with the purchase of a piece of jewelry.
7. Your browsing data: This information is used for statistical purposes to optimize the user experience on our sites and better understand what our customers expect from us. This data is also used as part of our fraud detection and prevention measures.

What about your payment information? We record transaction-related details (payment method type, date and time of validation, etc.), but we never store your credit card number, your PayPal login, or any similar credentials. When making a purchase, you always enter this information directly on the secure pages of our banking partners (CIC, PayPal, Casino, Oney, Leetchi…).

We employ every technical measure at our disposal to maintain the integrity, security, and confidentiality of all your personal data. Strictly speaking, you are under no obligation to share any personal information with us. That said, we cannot process your order without at least your name and shipping address.

In certain countries or for specific order types, local regulations may require us to collect additional information such as tax region, tax ID, occupation, national ID or passport number, and/or social security number at the time of purchase. If such information is required by local law, you will not be able to place an order on Ocarat/LP3B without providing it.

We take the protection of your data very seriously: it is never sold or transferred to third parties. The only information transfers we make are those necessary to fulfill orders, ensure our services run smoothly, and offer you relevant commercial offers. For example, we are required to share your postal address with the company responsible for delivering your order. Outside of the cases listed below, we never share your personal data with third parties.

• Service providers responsible for preparing or shipping parcels.
• The payment organizations that secure the transaction.
• Service providers involved in the technical aspects of running Ocarat, particularly for website access and communications: email routing, SMS routing, web hosting.
• Marketing service providers: They help us personalize your experience on Ocarat as much as possible.

Please also note that, as required by law, Ocarat/LP3B may disclose your tax region, tax code, occupation, national ID or passport number, and/or social security number in connection with one of your orders to a legal or governmental entity (e.g., a font inquiry) or, if necessary, in the context of certain tax remittances during payment processing (VAT payment).

On rare occasions, we may work with service providers based outside of France, which means your information could transit through infrastructure located abroad. When this occurs, we ensure beforehand that the provider in question meets the necessary guarantees to keep your data secure.

When you create a customer account with Ocarat, we begin a relationship that requires us to store certain personal information with your consent. This data is generally retained until you explicitly request its deletion. Should you choose to do so, some statistical data related to your previous visits may remain, but it will be dissociated from your personal information. We may, however, retain certain personal data to comply with our legal obligations, most often related to tax or legal matters. Your order history, for example, will be stored for 12 years.

When you browse our site, we store certain information related to your navigation on your device via a "cookie" file. We use these cookies to gather traffic statistics and learn about our visitors' preferences as they browse. These cookies help us deliver personalized information and relevant services.

On Ocarat, we use two types of cookies.
