The Watch

Oris is a prestigious Swiss watchmaking brand founded in Holstein in 1904 by Paul Catin and Georges Christian. In its Aquis collection, Oris unveils a stunning limited-edition watch created in support of Reef Restoration, an Australian non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the Great Barrier Reef. Limited to 2,000 pieces, this is the first watch Oris has crafted featuring a gradient dial that fades from 12 o'clock. Designed for underwater diving, it features a round case measuring 43.50 mm in diameter, crafted in stainless steel. The case has a silver tone with polished and brushed finishes, perfectly suited for men's wrists. It integrates a unidirectional notched bezel made of tungsten, graduated from 0 to 60 with a Super-LumiNova marker that glows in the dark. The case is topped with a domed sapphire crystal that shields the dial from external impacts, featuring an anti-reflective coating for enhanced readability. The screw-down crown at 3 o'clock allows easy adjustment of the central displays. Finally, the screw-down case back ensures water resistance up to 30 ATM.

The Dial

The stunning dial brings a dynamic energy to this model through its blue gradient - mimicking the turquoise and blue waters of the Great Barrier Reef and the refraction of sunlight through the ocean. At the center, three silver hands display hours, minutes, and seconds. Both the hands and the indices they sweep over are coated with SuperLuminova for excellent legibility in low-light conditions. A minute track runs along the outer edge of the dial for added precision. At 6 o'clock, a date window keeps you up to date, day by day. To finish, the brand places its name below 12 o'clock as its signature.

The Movement

This limited edition is powered by a Swiss automatic movement - specifically the Oris Caliber 400, manufactured in-house and supported by 21 jewels, delivering reliable and precise analog display. It offers a power reserve of 120 hours along with magnetic resistance. The movement beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and features a stop-seconds mechanism.
