Today, Kuoe introduces new watches from its Old Smith 90-002 collection, featuring a larger case size than previous models to suit a wider range of tastes. We present here the os90002-nd-iv-large, inspired by British military watches from the 1940s-1970s. This timepiece will never miss an opportunity to accompany you, becoming your new go-to for a pronounced vintage look. It pairs effortlessly with any outfit and will be a highly reliable companion through all your adventures. Designed for men, its case is crafted from 316L stainless steel with carefully considered dimensions for comfortable, all-day wear. It features a length of 45 mm and a thickness of 11.80 mm with a diameter of 38 mm. Its round shape is highlighted by a polished finish that gives the watch a subtly luminous quality. The case houses a crown-at-3-o'clock that is knurled and screw-down, providing a solid grip for easy time-setting whenever needed. The dial is shielded from everyday hazards by a sapphire crystal sitting above it. Providing optimal legibility from every angle, it has a domed profile and an anti-reflective coating on the inner surface. Finally, this model is water resistant to 100 meters, courtesy of its screw-down caseback.

The Dial

Enhancing the watch's vintage, classic charm with a touch of softness, this round dial stands out with its textured design and cream color. It adds a refined and sophisticated accent to your wrist while ensuring impeccable legibility in all conditions - thanks to its luminescent hour markers. Its grained dial surface is swept by two sword-style hands and a slim "Lollipop" seconds hand with a round counterweight. Finished in gray, they display hours, minutes, and seconds - even in the dark, thanks to their orange SuperLuminova coating. They point to twelve black hour markers rendered in Arabic numerals, framed by a classic-style minute track. For enhanced visibility, small rectangular and round markers are placed every 5 minutes along the track, each coated with an orange SuperLuminova layer. At 6 o'clock, Kuoe has printed the label "Japan Made" with the word "Mechanical" just above, while the brand name appears below 12 o'clock as a mark of authenticity.

The Movement

The case of this watch houses the NH38 caliber, a high-quality automatic movement that delivers outstanding performance in any situation. Manufactured by TMI, this Japanese mechanism ensures smooth, reliable timekeeping - giving you a precise and accurate reading of hours, minutes, and seconds at all times. With a 42-hour power reserve, it features the Diashock anti-shock system, a hacking seconds device, and 24 jewels. Its oscillation frequency is 3 Hz, or 21,600 vibrations per hour.

The Strap

This stunning watch is fitted with a NATO strap in black, lending it an elegantly understated look. Crafted from nylon with a braided design, it adds a touch of refinement to the whole piece, sitting comfortably and stylishly on your wrist to complement any outfit. A second NATO strap is included as a gift. Also made from braided nylon, this one features a khaki colorway - the perfect choice to bring a fresh edge to your look. Comfortable and easy to wear, it pairs effortlessly with everything you own. Both straps feature two brown cowhide leather keepers and a 316L stainless steel pin buckle for a secure yet comfortable fit. They have a lug width of 20 mm and an adjustable length from 14 to 21 cm.

Water Resistance

This watch offers water resistance up to 10 atmospheres, or 100 meters - making it a genuinely water-resistant timepiece. With its easygoing style, it's ready to dive into aquatic adventures alongside you. From puddles to the pool, this watch handles splashes and swims without breaking a sweat. Showers, baths, and sport swimming? No problem. That said, our Ocarat watchmaking experts want to remind you that this water-resistant model is not suitable for diving (professional or recreational) and should be kept away from high-pressure cleaning equipment. We also recommend keeping the crown and pushers dry during immersion.
