The Watch

Its Noramis collection draws inspiration from the models of the 1950s and '60s, evoking a different era - one of elegance and mystery. From this collection, we've selected the Noramis Date D016.407.16.097.00, a timepiece with its own distinct character. It features a round case with a diameter of 40 mm, a thickness of 3.90 mm, and a weight of 81 grams. Crafted in 316L stainless steel with a beautiful polished finish, it is topped with a domed sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating, revealing the dial in all its beauty while offering outstanding scratch protection. On the right side of the case, a knurled crown engraved with the letter U - the brand's logo - handles hand and date adjustment. The case back, secured by screws, features a transparent sapphire crystal porthole offering a pleasing view of the movement's fine decorations, while ensuring water resistance of 10 ATM.

The Dial

The dial on this watch balances elegance and sportiness, modernity and nostalgia. Its flat green base is beautifully finished with a clean retro-vintage aesthetic. The dial is dressed with triangular indices and Arabic numeral indices in polished silver. These occupy the perimeter, separated from the center by a very fine silver circle that adds depth through layering. The whole is framed by a minute railway track and small triangular markers. The hours, minutes, and seconds are indicated by silver alpha hands with a luminescent coating, along with a slim seconds hand. The date window rounds out the watch's functionality while adding visual appeal - positioned at 3 o'clock with a white surround that matches the tone of the brand name printed below 12 o'clock and the collection name above 6 o'clock. The "Made in Germany" label at the bottom of the dial is a proud reminder of the watch's origins.

The Movement

This watch is powered by an automatic movement - specifically the UNG-07.S1 caliber - manufactured in Germany at the Union Glashütte workshops. Based on the ETA 2892 A2, it delivers a 60-hour power reserve and beats at a frequency of 3.5 Hz, or 25,200 vibrations per hour. It features 21 jewels and a silicon hairspring for enhanced resistance to magnetic fields. Reliable and high-performing, it accurately displays hours, minutes, seconds, and the date.

The Strap

This model is fitted with a stitched calfskin leather strap in green. Comfortable and supple, it's beautifully crafted and measures 21 mm at the lug width. It fastens with a double folding clasp with two pushers in 316L stainless steel, ensuring a secure and easy fit on the wrist.

Water Resistance

This model offers water resistance of 10 atmospheres, or 100 meters - a genuinely water-resistant watch. Ready to take the plunge with you, it handles everything from puddles to the pool without complaint. Showers, baths, and active swimming are all fair game. That said, our Ocarat watch experts note that this model - while water-resistant - is not suitable for diving (professional or recreational) and should be kept away from high-pressure cleaning equipment. We also recommend keeping the crown and any pushers dry during immersion.
