The Watch

In January 1893, Johan Dürrstein founded the German maison Union Glashütte. Known for its premium timepieces crafted from the finest materials, the German maison now presents its latest watch: the Noramis Date Chrono Paul Pietsch Classic D012.427.16.032.00. The name pays tribute to the 2022 edition of the Paul Pietsch Classic rally - a vintage car event honoring the legendary German racing driver Paul Pietsch. The watch features a grey stainless steel case measuring 42mm in diameter and 14.50mm in thickness. The iconic crown at 3 o'clock is used to set the time and date, flanked by 2 pushers to control the chronograph function. A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides protects the dial. The watch also comes with a 2-year international warranty. The case back is secured by 4 screws and is transparent, offering a captivating view of the automatic caliber beating inside.

The Dial

The dial of this model is primarily grey, a color evoking the sheet metal that dressed vintage racing cars. The chronograph function is expressed through 2 additional sub-dials: one on the left housing a date window and a grey hand, the other on the right swept by a red hand. Both feature railway minute tracks and black Arabic numerals for precise timekeeping. On the main dial, there are 3 hands: the hour and minute hands are grey and white with luminescent treatment, while the seconds hand is grey and red. Around the dial, a black minute railway track is adorned with round indexes marking the hours. At 12 o'clock, a red Arabic numeral is added. Finally, at 3 o'clock, you'll find a date window.

The Movement

The movement inside is an automatic caliber, the UNG-27.S2. It delivers a generous power reserve of 60 hours. It also features a quick date-set function, a stop-seconds mechanism, and the ability to be hand-wound via the crown.

The Strap

The watch is paired with a black calfskin leather strap that brings true elegance. It is decorated with white stitching and secured with a butterfly deployment clasp.

Water Resistance

This model offers water resistance of 10 atmospheres, or 100 meters. That means it's genuinely water-resistant! With its sporty style, it's ready to join you in any aquatic environment - from puddles to the pool. Showering, bathing, and recreational swimming are all fine. That said, our Ocarat watch experts note that this model, while water-resistant, is not suitable for diving (professional or recreational) and should be kept away from high-pressure cleaning devices. We also recommend keeping the crown and pushers dry during submersion.
