The Watch

The sea - and more specifically, sailing - has always been the muse of the renowned French watchmaker Herbelin. The distinctive design of the Newport Chrono collection echoes the portholes of transatlantic sailing vessels. Round in shape, it measures 43mm in diameter - a perfect fit for men's wrists. Robust and built to last, it is fitted with a sapphire crystal, renowned for its scratch-resistant properties, protecting the dial at all times. A grey PVD steel bezel with a brushed finish frames the crystal, secured by five screws evoking the winches of a sailboat, with the collection name engraved at six o'clock. Its aesthetic transports you across the seas and oceans of the world. True to tradition, a crown sits at three o'clock, flanked by two pushers. Finally, the screw-down caseback ensures a water resistance of 10 ATM, or 100 meters.

The Dial

A stunning sunray black dial completes this timepiece. At its center, three silver-toned hands indicate hours, minutes, and seconds respectively. Silver boat hull-shaped indexes mark the hours, joined by a white minute track running along the dial's perimeter. For readability in the deep, both the hands and indexes feature a luminescent treatment. Three counters are positioned at three, six, and nine o'clock. Tinted in blue, they share the same sunray finish as the dial and display 60 seconds, 1/10th of a second, and 30 minutes respectively. Additionally, a date window positioned between four and five o'clock shows the current date. Finally, Herbelin signs its creation with its name just below the twelve o'clock index.

The Movement

Herbelin equips this chronograph watch with a Quartz movement. Swiss-made, it is a Ronda 5040-D manufacture caliber, driving the hours, minutes, seconds, date window, and three counters.

The Bracelet
