The Watch

Venezianico is an Italian watchmaking brand founded in 2017 by brothers Alberto and Alessandro Morelli, who set out to craft timepieces that capture the true spirit of Venice, their hometown. They offer iconic, high-quality models with a captivating design and a distinctly Venetian character. The brand introduces the Nereide Tungsteno 39 Watch - 3121540C - a clean, iconic silhouette with perfectly balanced details. Its name pays tribute to one of the last marvels of Venetian naval engineering: the Nereide submarine. Built to withstand demanding conditions, it features a case crafted from solid, robust, and durable 316L stainless steel that embodies timeless, refined elegance. A stunning alternation of polished and brushed finishes elevates the case with a perfect balance of sophistication. Sitting comfortably on the wrist, the case measures 39 mm in diameter and 45.50 mm lug-to-lug, with a thickness of 10.50 mm - giving it a sleek, refined round profile that stands out on the wrist. It is topped by a perfectly knurled bezel featuring a durable, scratch-resistant tungsten insert. Unidirectional with 120 clicks, it is marked with a minute scale and a triangle marker. The bezel frames a flat sapphire crystal offering superior scratch resistance and optimal dial legibility from every angle, thanks to its anti-reflective coating. On the right side, the protected crown is elegantly engraved with the brand's logo and features a finely knurled grip for easy time setting. The case is completed by a screw-down case back bearing an incredibly detailed engraving of the Nereide submarine that inspired the entire collection. Note that this case back delivers 20 ATM water resistance.

The Dial

The dial, exquisitely refined, strikes the perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality. It features a mother-of-pearl base that shimmers with multicolor reflections, making every glance at the time a pleasure. It is adorned with silver baton indices doubled at 12 o'clock and treated with Super-Luminova® BGW9 for excellent legibility in low-light conditions. The same treatment is applied to the sharp baton hands for the hours and minutes, as well as the bar-tipped seconds hand. All rendered in silver, they contrast beautifully with the dial while maintaining an elegant aesthetic. A simplified minute track runs along the perimeter for a complete reading of the time. Finally, the brand signs its masterpiece with its name and cross logo just below 12 o'clock, and the collection name above 6 o'clock.

The Movement

This model is powered by a highly reliable and durable Japanese automatic movement - the Miyota 9039 caliber, fitted with 24 jewels and beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour. With a 42-hour power reserve, it features unidirectional winding and a hacking seconds function. Precise and efficient, it provides an analog display of hours, minutes, and seconds.

The Bracelet

This watch is paired with a Canova bracelet that adds timeless, versatile elegance. Crafted in stainless steel, it features a single row of brushed links connected by beautifully polished chamfers. Designed to sit perfectly on the wrist, it is secured by a butterfly deployant clasp with pushers for a reliable, comfortable fit.

Water Resistance

This model offers water resistance up to 20 atmospheres, or 200 meters. Ladies and gentlemen, this is a watch built to go wherever the water takes you - deep. Designed for freediving, it handles high-pressure water jets with ease, so you never have to take it off. Shower, bath, lap swimming, and freediving are all fair game. That said, for scuba diving with tanks, we recommend a timepiece with a higher water resistance rating. Also, avoid operating the crown or pushers while submerged to protect the movement's integrity.
