The Watch

Vulcain has been celebrated for over a century for its original movements and attractive retro-inspired designs. It is one of the rare watchmaking brands to produce alarm watches - timepieces whose alarm can even be heard underwater. Since 1947, this signature feature has delighted enthusiasts with each new release. A pioneer of Swiss watchmaking, Vulcain offers historic models that marry aesthetics and technical mastery in equal measure. This timepiece belongs to the Nautical collection, showcasing robust diving models. The Black & Beige Patina watch features a round stainless steel case in silver with a polished finish for maximum brilliance once it graces your wrist. Measuring 42 mm in diameter and 17.35 mm thick (including the crystal and case back), it is perfectly sized for men's wrists. The domed plexiglass crystal protects the dial from impacts. The various functions are adjusted via two crowns and a pusher on the right side of the case. Finally, the watch features a screwed case back ensuring water resistance of 30 ATM. Note that the alarm is audible underwater thanks to the triple case back, which acts as a resonance chamber.

The Dial

This round dial features a matte black base that keeps all time indicators perfectly legible - with everything you need to read the time and navigate the depths. The outer ring is marked with three white Arabic numerals and indexes to make reading the hours effortless. They frame a green minute track paired with brown-toned indexes. These, along with the two dauphine hands that sweep over them, feature brown SuperLuminova treatment for excellent legibility in low-light conditions. They indicate the hours and minutes, while the silver seconds hand displays the seconds. A fourth hand with a red arrow points to the alarm setting. The entire center of the dial is filled with dive table data and graduated markings - invaluable references in the deep. Finally, the 12 o'clock index is replaced by the brand name.

The Movement

This watch is powered by a Swiss-made manual-winding mechanical movement. Reliable and precise, it beats at 18,000 vibrations per hour and delivers a power reserve of 42 hours. More specifically, it uses the Vulcain Cricket V-10 caliber, which features 25 jewels and efficiently drives all central display elements.

The Bracelet

A calfskin leather strap accompanies this men's timepiece. It features quick-release spring bars and fastens with a silver stainless steel pin buckle. Black in color, the edges of this strap are finished with tone-on-tone stitching that adds an extra touch of elegance. It pairs effortlessly with any outfit.

Water Resistance

With water resistance of 30 atmospheres, equivalent to 300 meters, all that's left for our watch specialists to do is wish you a great aquatic adventure. Fully waterproof, this model goes everywhere with you: shower, bath, swimming, freediving, scuba diving - it handles it all. That said, to preserve the timepiece's water resistance, our watchmakers recommend against operating the pushers or crown while diving.
