The Watch

Founded in 1867, Lip crafts timepieces with beautiful designs, meticulous construction, and reliable movements - including models built for the deep sea. Today, the brand celebrates its new title of Official Watchmaker of the National Federation of French Firefighters with this special edition, the Nautic 3 Lifeguard 670097. A rugged diving watch with striking aesthetics designed for rescue operations, it comes in a tonneau case measuring 39 mm in diameter and 13.20 mm thick - proportions that suit both larger and smaller wrists. Crafted in 316L stainless steel, it features a satin finish on the surfaces and a polished finish on the bevels and bezel. The unidirectional bezel has a serrated look and incorporates a black insert marked with a minute track and a luminescent marker. It frames a 3 mm-thick domed sapphire crystal that lends the model a more classic feel. Anti-reflective treated, this crystal ensures optimal legibility of the central elements and excellent scratch resistance. The well-proportioned screw-down crown sits at 3 o'clock and displays the brand logo for a distinctive touch. Its grip ensures easy handling when setting the hands and date. The whole is sealed by a screw-down caseback that promises water resistance to 20 ATM. Engraved with the words "Nageur Nautic" and "Fabriqué A Besançon," it offers a pleasant view of the movement through its transparent aperture, through which you can admire its fine finishing with blued screws, diamond-cut bevels, and Côtes de Genève.

The Dial

The dial of this watch exudes a classic feel that makes reading the time effortless. Framed by oversized markers, it delivers crisp legibility enhanced by a highly powerful Luminova treatment. The background features a matte black color that harmoniously contrasts with the white minute track running along the dial's edge. Paired with baton indices partially colored in red, the dial also features Arabic numerals at 6, 9, and 12 o'clock. For added flair, the tips of the baton hour and minute hands sport a red tint. At the center, they are joined by a slim hand with a round tip for tracking seconds. At 3 o'clock, a date window displays the day against a white background. To complete the design, the brand signs its name at 12 o'clock and notes the collection and "Lifeguard" designation in red at the bottom of the dial, with a "Besançon France" inscription on either side of the 6 o'clock index as a nod to its origins.

The Movement

This model is powered by a automatic movement of Franco-Swiss manufacture. It features the caliber HD GH100 from Lajoux-Perret, assembled in Besançon. It boasts 24 jewels and beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, with a power reserve of 68 hours. Note that this 11"½ caliber has a diameter of 25.6 mm and a thickness of 4.45 mm, offering an analog three-hand display plus a reliable date function.

The Strap

The elegance of this watch is enhanced by its bracelet. Crafted in silver-toned 316L stainless steel, it offers durability and resilience. Comfortable on the wrist, it features three rows of links highlighted by a refined satin finish. This strap measures 20 mm wide at the lug and is secured with a push-button deployment clasp.

Water Resistance

This model offers a water resistance of 20 atmospheres, or 200 meters. A watch ready to join you on your deepest aquatic adventures! Designed for freediving, it stands up to high-pressure washers too - showers, baths, lap swimming, and freediving are all no problem. For scuba diving with tanks, however, we recommend a timepiece with a higher water resistance rating. Also, avoid operating the crown or pushers while submerged to protect the movement's integrity.
