Montblanc has been crafting fine Swiss timepieces for over 160 years. Discover the MB125565 from the Montblanc 1858 collection - a line inspired by professional watches produced by Minerva in the 1920s and 1930s for military and exploration use. The Montblanc 1858 Geosphere is a watch built for alpinists. It features a round titanium case measuring 42 millimeters in diameter in a striking gray finish. A sapphire crystal sits above the dial, shielding it from potential shocks and scratches. Above that, a bidirectional rotating bezel indicates north, south, east, and west. A crown at three o'clock makes it easy to set the hands and adjust various functions. Finally, the watch features a snap-back case back that ensures water resistance to 10 atmospheres - up to 100 meters. The case back is engraved with a representation of the seven summits of the world.
This model features a stunning blue and black dial with frosted white contrast details evoking glacial landscapes. At the center, two hands reliably indicate the hours and minutes, complemented by a baton hour index marked with Arabic numerals at 2, 4, 8, and 10 o'clock. Around the dial, a minute track with Arabic numerals every five minutes enhances legibility and visual comfort. At nine o'clock, a counter displays the 12-hour function. The watch also features a world time complication: at twelve and six o'clock, two globes representing the northern and southern hemispheres rotate in opposite directions, completing a full rotation every 24 hours. These globes are topped with a 24-timezone scale and a contrasting day/night indicator. The globes, hands, and indices are all treated with SuperLuminova technology for easy reading in the dark. A date window sits at three o'clock, where the Maison also signs its creation.
This remarkable timepiece is powered by an automatic movement - specifically the MB 29.25 caliber, crafted by Montblanc's manufacture in Switzerland. It drives the hands, counters, and date window with precision and reliability, delivering a high-quality analog display. The movement boasts a power reserve of 42 hours, an oscillation frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, and is equipped with 26 jewels.
This model is fitted with a blue leather strap that brings a stylish finishing touch to the watch. Crafted from calfskin leather, it delivers all-day comfort while lending your wrist an elegant, modern look. It fastens securely with a silver pin buckle. Please note that the lug width measures 22 millimeters.
This model offers a water resistance of 10 atmospheres, or 100 meters. Now that's a truly waterproof watch! With its fun, sporty style, it's ready to dive into any aquatic adventure with you. From puddles to the pool, this timepiece handles water without complaint. Showers, baths, and lap swimming? No problem. That said, our Ocarat watchmaking experts want you to know that while this model is water-resistant, it is not designed for diving (professional or otherwise) and should be kept away from high-pressure cleaning equipment. We also recommend avoiding use of the crown or pushers while the watch is submerged.
