The story of Raymond Weil begins in 1976, when its founder set out to build his own company and bring a fresh perspective to Swiss watchmaking. His creations were quickly embraced by enthusiasts and experts alike. After establishing a solid presence in Switzerland, he expanded across Europe and the globe, building a far-reaching international network. Today, Raymond Weil stands as an iconic name in the Swiss watch industry. Following a period of strong growth, the brand channeled its energy into innovation and competitiveness. Music has always been a core source of inspiration - reflected in the names of its collections. In 1999, RAYMOND WEIL took full control of its watch design and embraced the latest technological advances, focusing on modern, technically sophisticated collections that went on to achieve remarkable success. With the Millesime collection, the brand unveils this stunning automatic tri-compax chronograph 39 mm watch - a tribute to the traditions of Swiss watchmaking delivered through a refined, minimalist aesthetic. The stainless steel case is elegantly designed to complement any wrist. Round in shape, it measures 39.50 mm in diameter with a thickness of 12.90 mm - proportions crafted with men's wrists in mind. A polished finish accentuates its silver tone, while the surrounding bezel is dressed in a vertical satin brushing that adds a refined touch to the timepiece as a whole. A glassbox sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-reflective coating sits above the dial, shielding it from daily shocks and scratches. The various functions are adjusted via the fluted crown bearing the RW monogram and the two pushers at 3 o'clock. Finally, the transparent snap-back case back with sapphire crystal provides a water resistance of 50 meters while revealing the mesmerizing oscillation of the movement within.
The design of this watch's sectored dial is both elegant and sophisticated. It presents a black background that makes all indicators stand out with exceptional clarity. A white tachymeter scale followed by a minute railroad track featuring a snail-pattern motif runs along the outer edge, lending a refined, technical edge to the whole. Baton hour markers for time reading are arranged on a smooth surface. The central zone is highlighted by a delicate vertical brushing, over which three hands indicate the hours, minutes, and seconds - all coated with SuperLumiNova for easy reading in the dark. For added functionality, three subdials display the 30-minute counter, small seconds, and 12-hour counter. Finally, the brand's name is inscribed below 12 o'clock as its signature.
This watch is powered by a Swiss automatic movement - specifically the in-house RW5030 caliber by Raymond Weil, delivering precise analog display of the time and subdials at all times. Based on the Sellita SW10 caliber, it beats at a frequency of 28,800 A/h (4 Hz) and features 27 jewels to reduce friction. It provides a power reserve of 62 hours, keeping pace with your every adventure.
This timepiece comes with a choice of two magnificent straps.
The first strap is crafted in stainless steel with a polished and brushed finish for a consistently sleek look over time. It features a stainless steel deployant clasp with a double-push security system for effortless, secure wearing every day.
The second strap is crafted from genuine black calfskin leather that pairs effortlessly with any outfit. It is adorned with a «W»-shaped topstitching along its long side, adding a distinctive finishing touch. With a lug width of 22 mm, it conforms naturally to the curves of your wrist. This strap secures comfortably thanks to its silver-tone pin buckle, ensuring a safe and reliable fit.
With a water resistance of 50 meters - or 5 ATM in watchmaking terms - this is a timepiece that handles a splash without breaking a sweat, but isn't built for prolonged water exposure. You can wear it in the shower on occasion, but to preserve the quality and precision of the movement, our entire team of watch specialists strongly recommends keeping it well away from the H2O molecules found in your bath, pool, or the sea. In short: no swimming, no diving, and no sustained contact or immersion.
