The Watch

MatWatches presents its new AG5 CHL1 watch from the AERO CHRONO collection. This model features a case crafted in 316L Steel with a black PVD coating. It measures 44 mm in diameter with a thickness of 16.5 mm. The sapphire crystal comes with an anti-reflective treatment, built to withstand any challenge. The dial seamlessly blends with the case through its black color. This timepiece is powered by an automatic movement. This model is designed to deliver a water resistance of 20 atmospheres, corresponding to approximately 200 meters. This watch is suitable for swimming and scuba diving.

The Dial

The striking dial on this watch is black with a round shape. At its center, you'll find three hands. The hour and minute hands are black with a luminous material and a white finish. The slender seconds hand is orange, making it easy to read the seconds at a glance. Around the dial, baton indexes in white add luminosity to the face. A minute track is also present for even greater time-reading precision. Additionally, three counters at six, twelve, and nine o'clock display the 12-hour, 30-minute, and small seconds functions respectively. Finally, the watchmaking Maison signs its creation at three o'clock and engraves the movement's automatic inscription.

The Movement

This watch houses a Swiss automatic self-winding ETA Valjoux 7750 movement. This 25-jewel caliber displays hours, minutes, seconds via a dedicated small seconds counter, and the date. It features a chronograph function with 30-minute and 12-hour counters. This movement runs at a frequency of 28,800 A/h, with a power reserve of 42 hours.

The Strap

This watch comes with three interchangeable straps: vegetable-tanned fawn leather, black rubber, and sand-colored canvas. Mix and match your watch with different straps for any occasion.

Water Resistance

With a water resistance of 20 atmospheres - equivalent to 200 meters - this model can confidently be called a dive watch. Our watchmaking experts agree: while this timepiece is more than up to the challenge of showers, baths, lap swimming, freediving, and recreational scuba diving, it is not designed for extreme deep-sea diving where pressure would compromise its water resistance. Professional divers tackling serious depth challenges should look to models rated 30 atmospheres and above. We also recommend keeping all pushers and the crown clear of contact with water to maintain a perfect seal.
