The Watch

Vulcain invites you into its chic, vintage world with this charming piece from the « 50' Presidents » collection. This Swiss house has been upholding watchmaking traditions for nearly 120 years, bringing meticulous craftsmanship to every single piece. The watch's name is no coincidence - after earning resounding success at the Universal Exhibitions in Paris and Barcelona, Vulcain introduced the world's first functional alarm wristwatch: the Cricket. The model went on to win over American presidents from Harry S. Truman to Barack Obama - all wore the Vulcain Cricket watch. Now it's your turn. This charming piece features a stainless steel case with a 42mm diameter and 12.40mm thickness, proportions ideally suited to a man's wrist. A sapphire crystal shields the dial from shocks and scratches. The dial features two pushers: a winding crown for time-setting adjustments and a push button to activate the alarm function. Finally, its transparent, screwed caseback offers a mesmerizing view of the rotor in motion. Water resistance is rated at 5 atmospheres.

The Dial

Vulcain equips this model with a round grey dial. Finely crafted, it features an exquisite guilloché finish reminiscent of a rosette. Four hands are mounted at the center of the dial. Two dauphine hands indicate the hours and minutes. A slender seconds hand tracks time with precision. Finally, the arrow hand serves to set the alarm function. Hour markers take the form of clean, understated silver baton indexes. A minute track runs along the outer edge of the dial. A date window is positioned above the six o'clock index.

The Movement

The Swiss manufacturer equips this stunning piece with an exceptional in-house mechanical movement: the Vulcain Cricket Manufacture V-21 caliber. It features 30 jewels, 199 components, and beats at a frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour. Power reserve is 42 hours.

The Strap

To complement the case perfectly, this watch features a genuine brown alligator leather strap. Elegant and timeless, it delivers both comfort and wrist-worthy sophistication. Tone-on-tone stitching adds a polished finishing touch. It fastens with a silver-tone pin buckle. Please note that the lug width is 22mm.

Water Resistance

This model offers a water resistance of 5 atmospheres (50m). Built to be as beautiful as it is capable, this watch holds its own against the elements without sacrificing a hint of elegance. You can wear it in the shower - though the Ocarat team recommends setting it gently on the edge of the sink to preserve its finish and integrity over time. As for swimming and scuba diving, we strongly advise against wearing this watch in those conditions to avoid damage and costly repairs.
