Japanese watchmaking house Seiko stands among the finest in the industry, driven by expertise and an uncompromising pursuit of perfection. The brand now introduces this bold men's watch from the Prospex collection. It features a barrel-shaped case crafted entirely from stainless steel with a 39 mm diameter. Protected by a sapphire crystal, the dial is shielded from everyday shocks and scratches. To operate the hands and sub-dials with ease, the right side of the case houses a screw-down crown and two pushers. A black bezel frames the dial and features a tachymeter scale for measuring speed. Finally, the screw-down caseback ensures water resistance of 10 ATM, equivalent to 100 meters.
The dial features a round shape that perfectly follows the curves of the case. Dressed in a stunning gold hue, it lights up the entire watch. At its center, the classic 3 hands take center stage. The hour and minute hands are black and white, sporting the iconic "sword" design. The seconds hand, also in black, showcases an ultra-slim profile. Around the dial, stick indices mark the hours in black, accompanied by a minutes railroad track for greater reading precision. Both the indices and hands are coated with LumiBrite luminescent material - a proprietary treatment developed by Seiko itself - ensuring optimal visibility even in the darkest conditions. The watch's sporty character is further reinforced by 3 additional sub-dials. Displayed in blue with small white hands, they contrast beautifully against the dial background. The 24-hour function sits at 3 o'clock, the small seconds at 6 o'clock, and the 60-minute counter at 9 o'clock. A date window is subtly positioned between the 4 and 5 o'clock indices. Finally, the brand signs the piece with its logo placed just below the 12 o'clock index.
Powering the hours, minutes, and seconds hands, this exceptional timepiece features a solar quartz chronograph movement - specifically the V192 caliber, driven by sunlight. Delivering outstanding accuracy and reliability, it offers a power reserve of approximately 6 months. Just a few hours of sunlight or strong artificial light adds another full month of autonomy.
Seiko fitted this stunning timepiece with a fully stainless steel bracelet. It features three rows of links for excellent flexibility, conforming perfectly to the curves of your wrist. To put it on and take it off with ease, it's equipped with a deployant clasp that's incredibly simple to use.
With 100-meter water resistance - or 10 ATM - this bold timepiece moves seamlessly from black-tie events to the water. Wear it in the shower, the bath, or for a swim (even an intense one!). That said, our expert team wants to be clear: this watch is not designed for scuba diving (freediving or tank diving) or high-pressure washers. Remember: shower, bath, and swimming only - and never operate the pushers or crown while in the water.
