Seiko is one of the most respected names in watchmaking. This Japanese house invites you to discover the SRPE93K1 from the Seiko Prospex collection. The watch is built around a stainless steel case measuring 45 mm in diameter and 13.42 mm thick - bold proportions that sit perfectly on a men's wrist. It is paired with a unidirectional bezel in stainless steel with a blue carbon titanium coating. Engineered for serious diving, this dive watch features Hardlex crystal - a toughened mineral glass widely used by the Japanese manufacturer. Finally, the case back ensures water resistance up to 20 atmospheres.
This dive watch features an elegant black dial that enhances readability at a glance. The hours are marked by round indexes filled with Lumibrite material, as are the hour and minute hands, which are finished in gray. This ensures superior luminescence and extended efficiency for optimal underwater visibility. A white minute track runs along the outer edge of the dial. The date is displayed in a date window at 3 o'clock, paired with a day-of-the-week window. The brand name sits at 12 o'clock.
Powering this timepiece is an automatic movement with manual winding, caliber 4R36. This 24-jewel caliber beats at a regulation frequency of 21,600 alternations per hour and delivers a power reserve of 41 hours, thanks to a mainspring crafted from Spron 510* - a patented material developed by Seiko using Spring Drive technology.
A dive watch demands a strap built to last. This dive watch is fitted with a black rubber strap secured by a steel pin buckle.
With a water resistance of 20 atmospheres (200 meters), this watch earns its place in the dive watch category - no question about it. That said, a quick note on semantics: while our watchmaking experts confirm it handles showers, baths, lap swimming, and recreational or freediving with ease, it is not designed for professional diving with tanks, where the pressure would exceed its water resistance rating. For our professional diver friends, we recommend looking at models rated 30 atmospheres and above. We also advise against operating the pushers or crown while underwater, to maintain a perfect seal at all times.
