Max Bill Edition 60 MEGA Kleine Sekunde Watch 58/4100.02

The Watch

To celebrate the anniversary of its Max Bill collection, Junghans has created a set of three Max Bill Edition 60 watches, including the MEGA Kleine Sekunde 58/4100.02. This model features a case crafted in stainless steel and anthracite gray PVD. At 38 mm in diameter and 9 mm thick, its proportions are ideal for slender wrists - whether men's or women's. The fixed bezel frames the white round dial, protected from shocks and scratches by a domed sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-reflective coating. Centered on the dial, two orange hands sweep through the hours and minutes, coated with a luminescent treatment for crisp analog reading day or night. They point to baton indexes and a minute track. A small seconds counter at 6 o'clock completes the time display. On the right side of the case, the crown gives you easy access to time setting. Finally, the screwed-down transparent caseback - secured by 4 screws and a mineral glass - ensures water resistance up to 3 atmospheres.

The Dial

This timepiece features a stunning round dial with a luminous white background. At its center, two orange hands with black outlines track the hours and minutes. Their luminescent coating ensures perfect readability in any lighting condition. They sweep across a dial adorned with baton indexes and a subtle minute track. The 3, 6, and 9 o'clock markers are paired with circular indexes. The 12 o'clock marker is orange and features Arabic numerals - the "60" marking the minutes is a nod to the anniversary of the Max Bill watches. For additional time reference, the date is displayed at 3 o'clock. The brand's signature appears below the 12 o'clock index, with its country of manufacture noted on either side of the 6 o'clock marker.

The Movement

Visible through the caseback, the quartz movement powering this model was developed in-house by Junghans. Caliber J101.66 is a multi-frequency radio-controlled mechanism. It drives the hour, minute, and small seconds hands, as well as the date display.

The Strap

Light gray in color, the strap on this timepiece is crafted from genuine leather. Its natural tone is beautifully offset by black edges that lend an air of elegance and refinement. The inner lining is leather in orange. Fasten it effortlessly with the pin buckle in steel and anthracite PVD. Please note that the lug width is 20 mm for optimal comfort.

Water Resistance

With a water resistance of 3 atmospheres, equivalent to 30 meters, this watch is not built for aquatic adventures. Feel free to keep it on while washing your hands or doing light household chores involving water - but the Ocarat team strongly recommends leaving it on the nightstand before jumping in the shower or bath, or locking it in the hotel safe before diving into the pool or the turquoise waters of your vacation spot.
