The story of Junghans began in 1861, making it one of the most fascinating names in German watchmaking. Its models have consistently stood out for the artisanal craftsmanship and creativity its designers bring to every piece. Every component selected for their timepieces undergoes rigorous quality control to deliver the very best. This 27/4303.02 watch is part of the Max Bill Chronoscope Bauhaus collection. It features a round stainless steel case with a matte finish. In silver, it measures 40 mm in diameter with a thickness of 14.40 mm, making it an ideal fit for men's wrists. The case is topped by a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides, protecting the dial from shocks and scratches while ensuring optimal visibility from every angle. On the right side of the case, two pushers and a ridged crown allow you to adjust all watch functions. This timepiece features a screw-down caseback with a transparent aperture, providing 5 ATM water resistance while showcasing the movement within.
Dressed in white, this dial embraces a clean, refined minimalist design. Its bezel features a minute track paired with long, ultra-thin baton indexes marking the hours. At the center, two gray dauphine hands display the hours (short hand) and minutes (long hand). They feature an environmentally friendly red luminescent coating for reliable legibility in low-light conditions. This chronograph includes two sub-dials at 12 and 6 o'clock displaying 30 minutes and 12 hours. At 3 o'clock, a white date window with red lettering displays the date at a glance. The brand signs its name along with the "Chronoscope" designation at 9 o'clock.
This watch is powered by a Junghans J800.2 automatic movement, delivering highly precise and reliable analog time display while efficiently driving the sub-dials. It operates at an oscillation frequency of 28,800 vibrations/hour with a power reserve of 48 hours.
The strap on this timepiece is crafted from black bovine leather. It provides all-day wrist comfort and pairs effortlessly with any outfit. It fastens with a stainless steel ardillon buckle engraved with the brand name.
With a water resistance of 5 atmospheres, equivalent to 50 meters, this watch is a first step into the world of water-resistant timepieces. While not designed for bathing, lap swimming, or scuba diving, you can afford to forget to remove it in the shower. That said, our experts recommend keeping this timepiece dry to preserve its mechanism for years to come.
