French watchmaker March.Lab has carved out a place in the hearts of horology enthusiasts and watch lovers alike, driven by distinctive design, strong values, and an obsessive attention to detail. Today, the brand is proud to introduce the Mansart Automatique White Date watch. Its design draws inspiration from Mansart's châteaux and the Château Marmont - a blend of classic and contemporary. The 34 mm case echoes the octagonal architecture of the Place Vendôme, sketched by Jules Hardouin-Mansart - none other than the architect of the Sun King. At just 11 mm thin, it slips effortlessly under any cuff. Entirely machined in 316L stainless steel, it's built to withstand the test of time. It also features stunning polished and brushed finishes, with meticulously beveled edges. Because only the best will do for March.Lab, a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment protects the dial effectively and durably. Cleverly positioned at 4 o'clock to avoid any wrist interference, the crown also features an octagonal shape, delicately decorated with grooves that echo the brand's emblem, allowing you to set the time and date. Flip this timepiece over and you'll be treated to a view of the automatic movement through a case back secured by 4 screws with a tinted crystal.
A pure white dial greets you here. Effortlessly elegant, it pairs beautifully with any outfit. The hour markers take the classic "baton" form, crafted in stainless steel and polished to a brilliant shine. To read the time at a glance, you'll find an hour hand and a minute hand - also "baton"-style with the same polished finish as the indices. A handy date window sits at 3 o'clock. The green numerals on a black background are a subtle nod to the brand's universe! Proudly inscribed at the base of the dial, you'll find the mention "Made in France". At 12 o'clock, the brand authenticates its creation with its name and logo.
Powering this timepiece is the Swiss automatic movement La Joux-Perret G100 - and here's an interesting detail: it was assembled in France! It delivers a generous 68-hour power reserve, perfect for the weekend. Its oscillation frequency is 28,800 vibrations per hour, or 4 Hz. Note that a quick date-set system is also available. Finally, you can also wind it manually via the crown.
Three strap options are available. A black lizard or black alligator strap for an elegant look - both featuring a pin buckle in polished stainless steel decorated with the brand's logo. For a more sport-chic style, opt for the version on a brushed stainless steel bracelet made up of rows of 7 links. Its clasp is a butterfly deployant buckle.
With a water resistance of 5 atmospheres, equivalent to 50 meters, this watch offers an entry-level introduction to water resistance. While not designed for bathing, lap swimming, or scuba diving, you can comfortably forget to remove it in the shower. That said, our experts recommend keeping this timepiece dry to preserve its movement for years to come.
