The Watch

Mondia is a watchmaking brand with a heritage dating back to 1935. It crafts precise, elegant timepieces with Italian-inspired designs that perfectly marry craftsmanship and creativity. Presented here on Ocarat, the Madison Diver MI-785-SSBK-BK-OY is a timeless dive watch. It features a round case in 316L stainless steel that beautifully combines polished and brushed finishes. Designed for men's wrists, it measures 42 mm in diameter and 12 mm in thickness. The case is topped by a well-crafted unidirectional grooved bezel featuring a black insert with a minute track graduated from 0 to 15 minutes and a luminescent marker. It surrounds a flat mineral crystal that offers a clear view of the dial and its reading elements. On the right side of the case, the grooved, screw-down, protected crown handles hand and date adjustments. The screw-down case back rounds things off with a guaranteed water resistance of 20 ATM.

The Dial

This watch features a dial true to the diving world, with bold elements for easy reading at depth. Its matte black background is framed by a classic minute track around the perimeter with bold markers every 5 minutes. The indices include bar markers at 6 and 9 o'clock, a large inverted triangle at 12 o'clock, and dot markers for the remaining hours - except at 3 o'clock, where a date window is enhanced by a cyclops lens. All markers are filled with luminescence to ensure superior readability in low-light conditions - a glow shared by the Mercedes-style hands for hours and minutes and the circle of the slim seconds hand. The dial is finished with the brand's signature proudly displayed at 12 o'clock alongside its logo, and a detailed water resistance indication above 6 o'clock.

The Movement

This model is powered by a Japanese quartz movement - the Miyota 2315 caliber in size 11 1/2'', driven by a 377 battery with a 3-year lifespan. With a timekeeping accuracy of ±20 seconds per month, it delivers reliable analog display plus a date function.

The Bracelet

This watch is fitted with an oyster-style bracelet that gives the model an elegant yet sporty edge. Crafted in silver stainless steel, it features three rows of links alternating between polished and brushed finishes. Comfortable to wear, this bracelet measures 21 mm in width at the lug and is secured by a deployant clasp with a safety lock.

Water Resistance

This model delivers water resistance of 20 atmospheres, or 200 meters - making it a true aquatic companion for deep-water activities. Designed for freediving, it can handle showers, baths, lap swimming, and freediving without hesitation. You can even use high-pressure cleaning equipment with this timepiece on your wrist. That said, for scuba diving with tanks, we recommend a timepiece with a higher water resistance rating. Also, avoid operating the crown or pushers while submerged to preserve the integrity of the mechanism.
