The Watch

Humbert-Droz, the French watchmaking brand, has been crafting high-performance timepieces with distinctive designs for years. Its collections, assembled in France in limited series, are celebrated for their remarkable movements. The Lou HD "Princesse" is a miniature reinvention of the original HD1. It features a cushion case measuring 29 mm in diameter and 9.4 mm thick. Every component of this case is crafted from 316L stainless steel treated with rose gold PVD and a finely brushed finish, giving it a soft, feminine radiance. Hexagonal screws attach the bezel to the middle case, which houses a mineral crystal. A ridged crown at 3 o'clock handles time-setting, while the screwed caseback - engraved with the watch's technical specifications - features a central transparent window. It invites you to admire the movement's inner workings while ensuring a water resistance of 3 ATM.

The Dial

The dial of the Lou HD watch is defined by its beautifully minimalist character. The rich burgundy background highlights the model's feminine elegance. Rose gold baton indexes complement the sunray finish and the two rose gold-plated steel hands, which also take a baton shape to indicate the hours and minutes. Just below 12 o'clock, the "Humbert Droz" signature appears, accented by the discreet "hands at 10:10" logo as a hyphen. Finally, the inscription "Assembled in France" sits between 5 and 7 o'clock, a proud reminder of the watch's French heritage.

The Movement

The brand selected a manual-winding mechanical movement to power this timepiece - specifically the FE163 caliber by France Ébauches, owned by Marcel Humbert-Droz, which drives the hour and minute hands.

The Strap

This watch is fitted with a stainless steel bracelet coated in rose gold PVD. Matching the case, it is composed of 7 rows of links, measures 18 mm wide, and fastens with a deployant clasp in the same finish.

A second strap in brown calf leather is included. Fitted with a pin buckle, it features tonal topstitching and a small woven French flag at one lug. With an 18 mm lug width, swapping straps is made easy thanks to the included strap-changing tool.

Water Resistance

With a water resistance of 30 meters - 3 atmospheres in watchmaking terms - this watch is absolutely not a water lover. Water is the worst enemy of its delicate movement, and our team strongly advises keeping it dry. Wearing it in the rain or while doing the dishes is fine, but skip the shower, the bath, the pool, and definitely the ocean - this one much prefers to stay dry!
