Swiss brand Hamilton listened, and is proud to introduce the Khaki Field Murph Auto H70405730! This is the same model featured in Christopher Nolan's film Interstellar, now in a more compact size. It features a smaller case with a diameter of 38 mm. Thanks to its reduced dimensions, this is a watch that works equally well for men and women. Crafted entirely in 316L stainless steel, the case combines a polished and brushed finish for an elegantly refined look. An anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects the dial from virtually all scratches. The crown remains at 3 o'clock for hand-setting. The case back is screw-down and transparent, letting you admire the excellent Swiss automatic caliber H-10 beating inside.

The Dial

The dial of this Khaki Field Murph stays true to the iconic styling of the film version. It features the same signature deep black tone that defines this model. That striking shade is marked by twelve hour indices rendered as Arabic numerals in beige. These are complemented by a beige minute track running around the full perimeter of the dial. In a true nod to Nolan's cinematic masterpiece, the seconds hand - used by the film's hero to transmit quantum data - features a beautiful sandblasted steel finish. The hour and minute hands display a "cathedral" shape, a genuine tribute to watchmaking heritage. At 6 o'clock, the inscription "Swiss Made" guarantees the watch's quality and origin. Just above, you'll find the words "Khaki" and "Automatic". The brand authenticates this edition at 12 o'clock.

The Movement

At the heart of this timepiece beats an exceptional caliber: Hamilton's H-10. Its architecture is based on the Swiss ETA C07.611 movement. Beyond its solid construction, this mechanism delivers a generous power reserve of 80 hours. Its frequency is set at 21,600 vibrations per hour, giving the seconds hand a particularly smooth sweep of 6 beats per second. It also features a manual winding system and a stop-seconds function.

The Strap

To complement this stunning watch, it comes fitted with a black calfskin leather strap. Its grained alligator-embossed finish lends the whole piece a distinctly elegant feel. Subtle beige contrast stitching runs along the edges of the strap. A polished stainless steel tang buckle serves as the clasp. The lug width measures 20 mm.

Water Resistance

With a water resistance of 100 meters - 10 ATM in watchmaking terms - this bold timepiece performs just as well at a gala as it does in the water. Wear it in the shower, the bath, or while swimming (even laps at full speed). That said, our watch experts want you to know: this model is not designed for scuba diving, freediving, or high-pressure water jets. Remember: shower, bath, and swimming only - don't operate the pushers or crown in the water, and swap the strap for a more water-appropriate option.
