The Watch

Since 2002, iconic Swiss brand Victorinox has been crafting quality watches as tough and functional as their legendary knives. In that tradition, the brand proudly presents its latest creation: the Journey 1884 241982, a tribute to the majestic Swiss mountains. This new arrival sports a striking black PVD stainless steel case with alternating polished and brushed finishes. At 43 mm in diameter and 12 mm thick (crown excluded), it sits comfortably on any wrist. The unidirectional rotating bezel is also crafted in stainless steel with a black PVD treatment. Its ceramic insert is graduated up to the twentieth minute, then in increments of 10, with the thirtieth minute symbolized by "1884" - the brand's founding year. A luminescent dot marks zero on the bezel. A large winding crown sits at 3 o'clock, knurled for a secure grip and used to set the time and date - and protected by a crown guard. The screwed caseback bears key watch specs including its 20 ATM water-resistance rating!

The Dial

This timepiece features a stunning three-dimensional black dial. The outer ring, smooth in finish, houses a white minute railroad track. The second ring carries the hour indexes: those at 3 and 9 o'clock are baton-style with a pointed tip; at 6 o'clock, a triangle; at noon, the brand's logo. The remaining indexes are white Arabic numerals, all featuring luminescent treatment. A date window sits at 6 o'clock on this ring. The third and innermost section houses the minute and hour hands in a "baton" style, integrated onto a metal base - the hour hand also displays military time from 13:00 to 23:00. The seconds hand features a luminescent running indicator at its base, with its red and white color echoing Victorinox's official palette. "Swiss made" appears at 6 o'clock and "Antimagnetic" beneath the hands. At 12 o'clock, the brand signs its creation with its name and coat of arms.

The Movement

This true Swiss-made workhorse of a watch is powered by a robust Ronda 715 quartz caliber from the Normtech range. Swiss-made for precision and durability, its battery delivers a continuous 6-month power reserve.

The Strap

Built for adventure, this watch comes with a black silicone strap. Its ridged texture allows your skin to breathe and prevents any discomfort. The clasp is a classic pin buckle - as effective as it is simple to use.

Water Resistance

With water resistance to 20 atmospheres - or 200 meters - this model earns the title of dive watch without hesitation. Our watchmaking experts agree: it handles showers, baths, lap swimming, freediving, and recreational scuba diving with ease. That said, it is not designed for extreme deep-sea diving, where pressure would overcome its seal. For professional divers pushing depth records, we recommend models rated 30 ATM and above. Also, avoid operating the pushers or crown while in the water to maintain a perfect seal!
