Lip is a watchmaking brand founded in 1867 and a true icon of French heritage - past and present. Always intertwined with great French names, it has produced legendary timepieces, including the Himalaya presented here as model 671716. This elegant watch features a refined round case in silver-toned stainless steel with a beautiful interplay of polished and brushed finishes. Its 40 mm diameter sits comfortably on most men's wrists. The case is fitted with a domed mineral crystal that gives it a classic feel and completes its sophisticated look. At 3 o'clock, a signed, grooved crown handles hour and minute setting. The screw-down case back ensures water resistance to 5 ATM.
The dial is refined and easy to read, with a striking green background in a matte finish that gives it an almost luminous quality. The outer ring features a minute track and small white baton indexes, complemented by Arabic numerals and a day-date window for precise timekeeping. Two white leaf hands sweep alongside a slim seconds hand with a red tip. The clean design is rounded out by the brand name proudly displayed at 12 o'clock, the collection name, and "Day and Date" inscribed at 6 o'clock.
This model runs on a Japanese-made quartz movement built for precise timekeeping. Specifically, the Miyota GM02 10 1/2''' caliber powered by a 364 battery with a 3-year life, delivering a three-hand analog display with a day-date complication. Timekeeping accuracy is rated at ±20 seconds per month.
