The Watch

MAT, also known as MER-AIR-TERRE, is one of the rare luxury watchmakers to supply special-order timepieces to RAID police officers. The brand delivers high-performance, distinctive, and eye-catching models built for any condition. The Paris-based manufacture teamed up with Moto Heroes to create a solid yet refined watch for motorcycle enthusiasts. Limited to 50 numbered pieces, the Heroes AG7 GM HEROES features a tonneau case crafted in 316L stainless steel treated with black PVD. This deep, dark tone delivers a blend of matte and gloss reflections for a sleek wrist presence. The case keeps things classic with a 39 mm diameter and 11.50 mm thickness - dimensions that suit any wrist. The standout detail is the crown positioned at 9 o'clock for easy gloved operation when adjusting the hours and minutes. Knurled and screw-down, it measures 6.5 mm in diameter and incorporates reinforced pushers for reliable field use. The dial is well-protected against scratches by a 2 mm anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The caseback ensures water resistance of 10 ATM.

The Dial

The most distinctive feature of this watch is its dial - its true face. Designed for effortless timekeeping, it displays Roman numerals at the 2 and 10 o'clock positions and Arabic numerals at 4 and 8 o'clock. These are presided over by a downward-pointing triangle at 12 o'clock, flanked by two horizontal baton markers at 3 and 9 o'clock. The remaining hours are marked by round dots, while at 6 o'clock, a square marker gives way to the date window. This date display features a black background with a white numeral framed in grey, crowned by a proud black raven. All oversized markers are coated with SuperLuminova BGW9 for optimal legibility in the dark. The hour and minute hands are bold sword-type, while the seconds hand features an arrowhead tip. All hands are also coated with white SuperLuminova BGW9, adding a bright accent to the dial. Everything rests on a matte black, lightly grained dial, bordered by a minute track dotted with luminescent markers. Finally, the word "automatique" appears beneath the brand signature at 12 o'clock, while "Fabriqué en France" at 6 o'clock proudly affirms the brand's origins.

The Movement

This model is powered by a Swiss-made Soprod automatic movement. This caliber features 25 jewels, oscillates at 28,800 beats per hour, and delivers a power reserve of 42 hours. It provides an analog three-hand display with a date complication.

The Bracelet

As for the strap, Mer-Air-Terre includes three interchangeable straps so you can switch up your look whenever the mood strikes: one in black vegetable-tanned leather, one in black canvas, and a third in black rubber. All three fasten with pin buckles for a secure and comfortable fit.

Water Resistance

This model offers water resistance of 10 atmospheres, or 100 meters. This is a genuinely water-resistant timepiece! Ready to dive into aquatic adventures with you, this fun-spirited watch handles everything from puddles to the pool without breaking a sweat. Showers, baths, and lap swimming? No problem. That said, our Ocarat watchmaking experts want you to know that while this model is water-resistant, it is not designed for diving (professional or recreational) and should be kept away from high-pressure cleaning equipment. We also recommend avoiding use of the crown or pushers while submerged.
