Lebois & Co is a Swiss watchmaking brand with a fascinating history. Founded in 1934 in La Chaux-de-Fonds by Raymond Dodane, it has always been committed to quality and innovation, offering timepieces of classic beauty that attract watch enthusiasts worldwide. In 2014, the brand made a triumphant comeback under Tom van Wijlick, who put the emphasis back on Swiss watchmaking tradition and contemporary innovation - blending traditional craftsmanship with high-tech materials to produce reliable, precise watches. Today, it proudly presents the Heritage Chronograph watch - 324.442. Part of a collection paying tribute to the golden age of mechanical precision, these models are crafted with collector input in mind. This timepiece features a round case crafted in 316L stainless steel for lasting robustness. Brushed and polished, it measures 47.40 mm in length, 39 mm in diameter, and 13.90 mm in thickness. A grey crown at 3 o'clock with a knurled finish ensures an easy grip, flanked by two pushers of the same tone to operate the central functions. These are protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal measuring 3.40 mm in thickness, domed and fitted with an anti-reflective coating for effortless legibility. Finally, the case is sealed by a screwed and engraved caseback ensuring water resistance of 5 ATM, with a sapphire crystal exhibition window offering a stunning view of the movement.
This dial showcases meticulous design, giving the piece an undeniably captivating character. It features a brushed opaline grey base lifted by a sunray finish for a brilliantly striking look. The outer edge carries a tachymeter scale paired with a minute track. Following these, alternating baton indices and Arabic numerals are linked by a central ring, making time easy to read. At the center, three hands precisely mark the time. In midnight blue, they harmonize beautifully with the strap's tone. Elegant and sharp, they display the hours, minutes, and seconds of the chronograph function. They are complemented by two additional subdials at 3 and 9 o'clock, displaying the 30-minute counter and the small seconds respectively. The Swiss Made label appears near 6 o'clock alongside the "antimagnetic" indication, while just below 12 o'clock, the movement type is noted followed by the brand name as a signature.
At the heart of this watch beats a La Joux-Perret manufacture automatic movement - specifically the LC-450 caliber - driving the hands and chronograph with precision. It beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and features 24 jewels to minimize friction. Antimagnetic, it resists vibrations and delivers a power reserve of 60 hours.
This stunning strap adds a refined finishing touch to the whole look. In midnight blue, it elevates your style effortlessly. Crafted from bovine leather with contrasting grey stitching, it's as comfortable as it is charming. It measures 20 mm at the lug width and fastens with a silver-tone pin buckle of 18 mm, adjustable to your preferred fit.
This model offers a water resistance of 5 atmospheres, or 50 m. Designed to be as beautiful as it is capable, its precious aesthetic doesn't compromise its ability to stand up to the elements. You can wear it in the shower, though the Ocarat team recommends leaving it on the edge of the sink to preserve its brilliance and integrity longer. As for swimming and diving, we strongly advise against wearing this watch in the water to avoid damage and costly repairs.
