The Watch

Built on four generations of ingenuity, the iconic Humbert-Droz brand - founded in 2016 - has successfully carried on a family legacy of crafting timeless, high-quality modern timepieces. Its HD Réa-Chrono collection, inspired by the iconic HD1, offers four dazzling models for sports enthusiasts and vintage-style lovers alike - including this stunning Dobby watch. Its case, crafted in 316L stainless steel with a brushed finish, features a cushion shape that defines the uniqueness and character of this timepiece. It measures 48 mm in diameter and 14 mm thick - perfect proportions for the modern, trend-conscious man. Surrounding a mineral crystal, the fluted black PVD bezel is marked with graduations and is rotating, allowing you to measure elapsed time. You'll also notice a grooved screw-down crown and two pushers protected on the right side of the case - used to set the time and date and to operate the chronograph complication. The numbered screw-down caseback ensures water resistance of 10 ATM. Note that with every purchase of this watch, Humbert-Droz donates 15,00 € to the "Réagir" association at the CHU de Minjoz.

The Dial

A round dial sits elegantly within the case. With a brushed finish and a deep black color that harmonizes beautifully with the overall design, it lends a refined, understated sophistication to the watch. Two rhodium-plated grey diamond-shaped hands sweep smoothly to indicate the hours and minutes, pointing to a minute railway track on the finely graduated bezel for easy reading. A slender red hand tracks the seconds. The hours are marked by grey baton indexes, which - along with the hands - feature a luminescent coating for readability in any lighting condition. A large date window sits at 12 o'clock, flanked by three sub-dials at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, offering small seconds, 1/10th-second, and 30-minute chronograph functions respectively. The brand name is displayed below 12 o'clock, with the inscription "Assembled in France" at 6 o'clock.

The Movement

This watch is powered by a Swiss-made quartz movement, renowned for its precision and reliability. Supplied by Ronda, the caliber 5040.B drives the hands, date window, and sub-dials with pinpoint accuracy, delivering a clear and precise reading of hours, minutes, seconds, date, and all chronograph functions.

The Strap

A silicone strap completes this watch, amplifying its sporty character with a modern, refined edge. Ultra on-trend, it sports a striking black graphic design that pairs seamlessly with any outfit, day or night. Understated yet bold, it delivers a sport-chic men's aesthetic along with all-day wearing comfort. With a 24 mm lug width, it is fastened by an ardillon buckle for easy, flexible adjustment.

Water Resistance

This watch offers water resistance of 10 atmospheres, or 100 meters - a genuinely waterproof timepiece. Ready to dive into aquatic adventures with you, from puddles to the pool, it handles splashing and swimming without complaint. Showers, baths, and even competitive laps? No problem. That said, our Ocarat watch experts want to be clear: this model is water-resistant, not dive-rated - it is not suitable for scuba or freediving, and should be kept away from high-pressure cleaning equipment. We also recommend against operating the crown or pushers while submerged.
