Swiss-made since 1904, ZRC timepieces are part of the great history of diving watches. Crafted from the finest materials with meticulous assembly and obsessive attention to detail, the brand has built a rock-solid expertise in producing waterproof, reliable, and precise watches purpose-built for the world of diving. Its watches earned official approval from the French Navy. True to the spirit of the Grands Fonds, the 38 mm Reissue line pays homage to the iconic dive watches of the 1960s. Born from this lineage, the GF 38 Héritage GF38213 is one of the most robust dive watches ever made - becoming the official watch of the French Navy in 1964. This new edition comes with a striking monocoque case, angular and hexagonal in shape. Crafted in antimagnetic 304 stainless steel and measuring 39 mm in diameter, it is built for any adventure. Every surface is enhanced by carefully executed brushed finishing - a detail that is as aesthetic as it is original. The case is paired with a unidirectional notched bezel featuring a ceramic insert in black marked with a minute railroad track. The bars, Arabic numerals, and reference marker are all treated with eggshell-toned Super Luminova X1 for optimal readability in the depths. The whole is crowned by a domed sapphire crystal that reinforces the vintage aesthetic. At 2.40 mm thick, this anti-reflective crystal offers excellent dial visibility. The model's iconic detail is its crown positioned at 6 o'clock - screw-down and equipped with the ingenious Crown Protection System to help guarantee water resistance. On the caseback, the caseback echoes the spirit of the original watch, with four long locking notches and similarly arranged inscriptions. This caseback ensures perfect water resistance to 30 ATM. Also worth noting: this timepiece features the ECS® system for optimal rinsing after a dive, eliminating impurities and salt crystals trapped between the bezel and the case.
The dial makes a bold statement with a relaxed, sophisticated edge. Its black base is lifted by eggshell-toned markers that add a pop of warmth to the dark, matte backdrop. The perimeter features a classic railroad minute track for easy time reading. This is paired with stick indices at 6, 9, and 12 o'clock - doubled at those positions - while the remaining markers are round dots accompanied by slim batons. All elements are treated with high-intensity Super-LumiNova X1 for optimal legibility in any light. Hours and minutes are tracked by Magnum-style hands, while the seconds are marked by the iconic Lollipop seconds hand, adding a distinctive aesthetic touch. All hands are coated with Super LumiNova X1 for clear readability in dark conditions and the depths. A date window at 3 o'clock adds a practical daily-use function. The dial also features clean, well-organized inscriptions: the collection and brand name appear at 12 o'clock inside a triangle, movement specifications are noted just above 6 o'clock, and a discreet "Swiss Made" mention at 6 o'clock serves as a constant reminder of its origin.
The watch is powered by a reliable Swiss-made automatic movement - specifically the Sellita SW200-1 caliber in elaborated finish, featuring 26 jewels and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz). It delivers a 38-hour power reserve and operates with a precision of ±7 seconds per day. This movement provides accurate three-hand analog display with a reliable date function.
The bracelet paired with this watch gives it an even more modern feel. Crafted in 304 stainless steel, it features a Milanese mesh finish that is easily adjustable and exceptionally comfortable on the wrist. It includes an end link that ensures you never forget to screw the crown back in - leaving it unscrewed will prevent the bracelet from sitting properly. Sleek and flexible, it measures 22 mm at the lug width and fastens with a sliding clasp.
This model offers a water resistance of 30 atmospheres, equivalent to 300 meters. Whether you're playing with the kids in the pool or tackling serious professional diving with tanks, this watch has you covered. The deep sea and all its inhabitants had better watch out - you're ready. The Ocarat team wishes you happy exploring of the ocean floor, with one final tip: don't operate the push-buttons or the crown during your descent!
