The Watch

The watchmaker unveils its latest model, the GW5000U-1ER, from its iconic G-Shock collection. Its bold dimensions make it a perfect fit for men's wrists. The watch features an octagonal stainless steel case with black PVD coating, measuring 46.7 mm in length, 43.2 mm in width, and 12.7 mm in thickness. The dial is protected by a mineral crystal that shields it from everyday shocks and scratches. Four push-buttons on the case give you access to all the features this watch has to offer. Finally, its screw-back case ensures water resistance up to 20 atmospheres.

The Dial

The rectangular grey dial features a digital display. Hours, minutes, and seconds are shown in 12/24-hour format. The auto calendar lets you read the date, day, and month at a glance. The four push-buttons on either side of the case give you access to all additional functions.

Shock Resistance
The shock-resistant structure protects the watch against impacts and vibrations.

Solar Power
Solar cells provide autonomous, eco-friendly energy. Any surplus solar energy is stored in a rechargeable cell.

Full Auto Illuminator
When this function is activated, simply tilt your wrist slightly to light up the watch's backlight. Energy-efficient by design: the Full Auto Illuminator only activates in dark environments.

Countdown Timers - 1/1 min - 24 hours
For precision-lovers: countdown timers alert you to important or recurring events with an audible signal at the set date and time. The timer can be programmed in seconds, up to 24 hours in advance.

Automatic time sync via radio signal reception (EU, USA, JPN, CHN)
Whether you're in Europe, North America, Japan, Canada, Central America, or China - once the watch is set to the local time zone, it picks up the corresponding radio signal and always shows the exact time and date. In many countries, it automatically switches between daylight saving time and standard time.
World Time Function
The world time function displays the time across 29 time zones and major cities around the globe.

Countdown Timer - 1/1 min - 24 hours
For those who love precision: countdown timers remind you of important or recurring events by sounding an audible alert at the programmed date and time. The timer can be set in minutes, up to 24 hours in advance - especially handy for daily medication reminders or recurring training sessions.

Daily Alarm
The daily alarm goes off every day at the time you set. The value shown indicates the number of daily alarms available.

Snooze Function
Each time you dismiss the alarm, it goes off again a few minutes later.

12/24-Hour Time Format
You can display the time in either 12-hour or 24-hour format.

Button Beep On/Off
The button beep can be turned off using the mode button. Once disabled, there is no beep when switching between functions. However, any programmed alarms or countdown timers remain active after the button beep is turned off.

The Movement

This timepiece is powered by a solar movement that converts both natural and artificial light into energy for a digital display. An ideal movement that guarantees extreme precision and ensures a long-lasting timepiece.

The Bracelet

The dial is paired with a black resin strap that gives the watch a bold, sporty look. Built for ultra-resistance and lasting durability, it's easy to adjust with its tang buckle.

Water Resistance

This model offers 20-atmosphere water resistance (ISO 22810), equivalent to 200 meters. Here's a watch that's ready to go wherever your water adventures take you - built for freediving! Rain, showers, swimming, and breath-hold diving are all fair game. You can even handle high-pressure washers with this timepiece on your wrist, no worries. That said, for scuba diving with tanks, we recommend a timepiece with a higher water resistance rating. Also, avoid operating the crown or push-buttons while submerged, to protect the integrity of the movement.
