The Watch

Frédérique Constant is renowned for its quality Swiss watches and for breaking the codes of luxury watchmaking. The brand pioneered what is now called accessible luxury - born from its founders' desire to make luxury watches more attainable without compromising on craftsmanship. The formula was an instant success. Proud of this legacy, the house presents its latest creation: the Highlife Chronograph Automatic FC-391WN4NH6, limited to 1,888 pieces worldwide. The watch features a beautiful round case in polished and brushed stainless steel, measuring 41 mm in diameter and 14.22 mm thick - dimensions ideally suited to men's wrists. The bezel is fully smooth with an entirely polished finish. Topping it all, a scratch- and glare-resistant sapphire crystal protects the dial. On the left side of the case, the two chronograph pushers are clearly visible: the one at 2 o'clock starts and pauses the function, while the one at 4 o'clock resets it to zero. The crown sits at 3 o'clock for time setting and manual winding. For optimum water resistance, the case back is secured by 4 screws and is fully transparent, offering a stunning view of the movement inside.

The Dial

The brand presents a stunning bi-color dial. The background is white, decorated with the iconic globe motif - signature of the Highlife collection. Contrasting beautifully, the chronograph sub-dials are blue. The sub-dial at 9 o'clock tracks the elapsed seconds. The one at 3 o'clock displays the last 30 minutes measured by the chronograph. Finally, the sub-dial at 6 o'clock shows elapsed time over a 12-hour period. Echoing these sub-dials, a minute and second railroad track runs around the perimeter for the most precise reading possible. The central hour and minute hands are sword-shaped and crafted in polished stainless steel - a stunning visual touch! They also feature luminescent treatment for easy reading in the dark. The baton-shaped indices are likewise in polished stainless steel with luminescent treatment. Finally, a date window sits between 4 and 5 o'clock.

The Movement

This model is powered by the Frédérique Constant FC-391 caliber, developed in collaboration with Swiss manufacture La Joux-Perret. It delivers the full chronograph function, measuring elapsed time over a maximum period of 12 hours. It beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour - 8 beats per second - and offers a generous 60-hour power reserve along with a stop-seconds mechanism. To top it all off, a "Côte de Genève" finish adds a beautiful decorative touch.

The Strap

This watch ships with 3 straps. By default, the case is fitted with a beautiful integrated strap in navy blue calfskin leather with a nubuck finish, lending it a distinctly elegant and luxurious feel. A pin buckle makes putting on and taking off your watch effortless. The second strap is in navy blue rubber. Finally, the box also includes a stainless steel bracelet with a deployant clasp.

Water Resistance

The watch is water resistant to 10 ATM (100 meters), making it a capable companion for most of your adventures. Rain, showers, a dip in the pool or the ocean - no problem. That said, scuba diving and jet skiing are not recommended, as intense water impact from high-speed water sports could compromise the watch's water resistance. One Ocarat tip: never operate the chronograph while underwater!
