For over 74 years, manufacture Yema has carried on France's watchmaking tradition. Its expertise speaks for itself - most notably through its entirely in-house calibers YEMA2000 and YEMA3000. Proud of its aeronautical roots, Yema is thrilled to unveil its latest automatic chronograph: the Flygraf Navigator YFLY22CH.FR-GA32S. It arrives in a stunning round case measuring 40 mm in diameter and 13.90 mm thick - compact dimensions that make it a perfect fit for any wrist. It also benefits from polished and brushed finishes. Crafted entirely from 316L stainless steel, this watch is built to last - the most trusted steel in the watchmaking industry for good reason. A bidirectional two-tone blue and white aluminum bezel features a tachymeter scale and an aviation-specific slide rule. Its knurled finish ensures a confident grip. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal effectively shields the dial. On the right side of the case, you'll find two pushers: the one at 2 o'clock starts and pauses the chronograph, while the one at 4 o'clock resets the function. The crown, protected by two small guards, lets you set the time and wind the movement as needed. The fully screwed caseback - for optimal water resistance - features the brand's engraved logo along with key watch specifications such as immersion resistance and place of manufacture: Morteau, France.
This stunning French chronograph showcases a deep midnight blue dial. First, note that the bezel features logarithmic scales - essential tools for pilots in their day, used to calculate fuel reserves. The hours are marked by baton indices coated in luminescent material, accompanied by a white minute track for precise timekeeping. The hour and minute hands sport a clean "baton" design, also coated in Super-LumiNova Grade A for perfect legibility in low-light conditions - like a cockpit at night. The chronograph seconds hand features a skeleton arrow tip. The small seconds, housed in the sub-dial at 9 o'clock, carries a beautiful vintage aesthetic. The sub-dial at 12 o'clock tracks the last 30 minutes timed. The one at 6 o'clock runs up to 12 consecutive hours. A day-date window - in French, no less - sits at 3 o'clock, displayed in black on white for effortless reading, alongside the maison's name and the word "automatic". Finally, a silhouette of an airplane in profile hovers above the hands, with the inscription "Flygraf" just below.
This superb aviator's watch is powered by the ETA Valjoux 7750 automatic caliber. A true workhorse of the watchmaking industry, it has proven itself over many decades and stands as the benchmark for Swiss automatic chronograph movements. Housing 25 jewels, it beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour - delivering ultra-smooth motion for both the chronograph seconds hand and small seconds at roughly 8 beats per second. Its 48-hour power reserve means you can take it anywhere without ever worrying about running out of energy. It also features quick date adjustment, manual winding via the crown, and a stop-seconds function for second-precise time setting.
A handsome perforated leather strap in black completes this watch, with a refined white contrast stitching finish. The clasp is a pin buckle in stainless steel, decorated with the brand's logo.
This model offers water resistance of 10 atmospheres, or 100 meters - making it a truly water-resistant timepiece. Ready to dive into aquatic adventures with you, from puddles to the pool, this watch handles swimming without complaint. Showers, baths, and sport swimming are all no problem. That said, Ocarat's watchmaking experts want you to know that while this model is water-resistant, it is not suited for diving (professional or recreational) and should be kept away from high-pressure cleaning equipment. We also recommend not operating the crown or pushers while submerged.
