The mission counter of special forces. The operation that made Germany's GSG9 police special unit world-famous: the rescue of hostages aboard the Landshut aircraft, on October 18, 1977 in Mogadishu. That mission became as legendary as the dive watch worn by its members.
The Watch What truly sets this watch apart is its Hydro technology. The movement, dial, and hands are mounted directly in a clear liquid with the same refractive index as sapphire crystal, eliminating reflections on the dial and hands through the sapphire glass. This technology ensures perfect legibility and waterproofing at any depth.
Fitted with a red silicone bracelet with a deployment clasp, this watch houses a movement water-resistant to 500 atmospheres, or 5,000 meters. Its case is water-resistant to 12,000 meters - a timepiece built for serious deep-sea divers. These ratings have been tested and certified by Germanischer Lloyd, the naval classification and international technical insurance company.
In pursuit of a steel capable of withstanding extreme conditions, SINN engineers - working alongside German submarine manufacturers - developed a small-batch production of the same steel used in German submarines. This steel is not only extraordinarily corrosion-resistant, but also achieves the highest antimagnetic rating with zero residual magnetism.
Topped by a flat sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating, the round submarine steel case measures 44 mm in diameter, 13.3 mm thick, and weighs 105 grams without the bracelet.
The case features a grey unidirectional rotating bezel for a visual countdown function. To prevent accidental rotation, the bezel is secured to the case so it cannot be displaced. This bezel has undergone TEGIMENT anti-impact treatment - a surface-hardening technology that provides exceptional scratch resistance for stainless steel.
The black dial features luminescent white hands and hour markers, a date window at 3:00. The screw-down crown is positioned at 10:00.
The Movement This watch is powered by a Swiss ETA 955.652 quartz movement. This 7-jewel caliber displays hours, minutes, seconds, and the date. It features a Stop-Second device for precise time-setting to the exact second.
