The Watch

Lip launched its Dauphine model in the 1950s - a nod to the iconic Renault car of the same name - and it made waves. Through 1959, the word "Dauphine" alone reigned supreme on the dial. The model's fame was such that Lip chose to reissue its signature piece, now featuring its hallmark triangular Dauphine hands and classic dial with a refined refresh. The stainless steel case offers versatile, modern 38 mm dimensions paired with a domed sapphire crystal for an authentic retro feel. The caseback is snap-fit, and the crown is positioned at 3 o'clock.

The Dial
Clean, uncluttered, and timelessly retro. Three silver-toned hands - the hours and minutes in classic triangular Dauphine style, slender with a wide base - are paired with baton hour markers in matching silver. The round dial features a stunning sunray finish that plays with light, paying tribute to the finest watchmaking traditions. A date window at 6 o'clock keeps you on schedule, while the Dauphine signature sits opposite the brand name at 12 o'clock.

The Movement
This model is powered by a Swiss Ronda 715 quartz movement, delivering hours, minutes, seconds, and date via a date window at 6 o'clock.

The Strap
This watch comes fitted with a brown leather strap for a perfect vintage look, featuring contrasting beige stitching and a silver-toned pin buckle. The lug width is 20 mm, and the strap is sized M (maximum length: 225 mm).

Water Resistance
This model is water-resistant to 5 atmospheres (50 m) - built to look stunning and hold its own. That said, while you can keep it on in the shower, the Ocarat team recommends leaving it on the edge of the sink to preserve its brilliance and longevity. Swimming and diving are not recommended, as exposure to water pressure at depth may cause damage and result in repair costs.
