The Watch

In collaboration with the Royal British Legion, the brand proudly presents the Dambuster 80th Anniversary Royal British Legion AV-4108-RBL-04 Watch, offered as a limited edition of 1,775 unnumbered pieces. It pays sincere tribute to the bravery of the 617th Squadron and stands as a reminder of the sacrifices made during Operation Chastise. It features a round case crafted in stainless steel measuring 43 mm in diameter, 51 mm in length, and 14 mm in thickness. Black in tone, it showcases an oversized crown with a knurled finish for a perfect grip. It is also adorned with the red poppy symbol, which animates the various dial elements. The dial itself is protected by anti-reflective mineral glass for effortless reading. This watch features an engraved and screwed caseback ensuring water resistance of 5 ATM. It also comes in a beautiful presentation box bearing the brand's logo.

The Dial

This dial makes for a truly enjoyable reading experience. Dressed in a striking red tone with a captivating matte finish, it immediately draws the eye. Round in shape, it features a perimeter with an alternating minute track, square indexes, baton markers, and Arabic numerals. All these markers are swept by three hands anchored at the center. The slim seconds hand features a red tip, the hour hand with its pointed end indicates the minutes, and the short hand marks the hours. Both the hands and hour markers are coated with a luminescent treatment for optimal legibility in low-light conditions. Around 6 o'clock, you'll notice an additional 24-hour sub-dial. Framed by 4 screws, it is followed by the inscription 617 Limited Edition, set against a central line with the markings 1943 and 2023 at each end. These details commemorate the 80th anniversary of Operation Chastise and the valiant 617 Squadron, known as the Dambusters. At 12 o'clock, a red motif appears above the brand name and movement type as a signature. You'll notice this same motif on the seconds hand, the crown, and the buckle - it represents the poppy, symbol of remembrance for World War I in British culture.

The Movement

This timepiece is powered by a meca-quartz movement. Japanese-made, it is robust and reliable, offering excellent resistance to vibrations. This mechanism delivers precise tracking of hours, minutes, seconds, and a 24-hour counter.

The Strap

This charming strap adds a beautifully refined touch to the watch. Crafted from bovine leather, it is both sturdy and supple, ensuring comfortable wear. Black in tone, it is elevated by beige stitching and brings an elegant accent to any occasion. It measures 22 mm in width and contours your wrist beautifully. Thanks to its pin buckle, you can effortlessly adjust it to your preferred fit.

Water Resistance

This model offers water resistance of 5 atmospheres, or 50 m. Designed to be as beautiful as it is eye-catching, it's built to hold its own in any setting. That refined look doesn't come at the cost of durability - this watch can handle the elements. You can wear it in the shower, though the Ocarat team recommends setting it on the edge of the sink to preserve its brilliance and integrity over time. Swimming and scuba diving are a different story: we strongly advise against submerging this watch to avoid damage and costly repairs.
