The Watch

French watchmaker Lip, based in Besançon, offers a range of collections for men and women with a clean, classic aesthetic. The unisex Churchill collection takes its name from Winston Churchill, to whom Fred Lip gifted a watch in gratitude for his support of France. A symbol of that bond, the line features traditional rectangular timepieces. The T13 Churchill model is sized for women's wrists, measuring 13 x 29 mm. The 316L stainless steel case features a silver crown at three o'clock. The steel construction continues on the case back with a snap-on back. A mineral crystal protects the dial on the front.

The Dial

Rectangular in shape, this clean dial features a two-tone white background. The outer section alternates "baton" indexes with black Arabic numerals marking the hours. The more central section is covered in off-white and houses the two rose-toned baton hands for hours and minutes. Just below the twelve, the watchmaker's name appears in black.

The Movement

For unbeatable precision, this case houses a quartz movement. The Japanese Miyota 5R21 caliber is above all reliable. The original battery lasts an average of 4 years.

The Strap

This is a slim double-wrap strap in leather. The smooth light brown leather features tone-on-tone stitching. This long camel strap is 10mm wide and fastens securely around the wrist with a steel pin buckle.

Water Resistance

Fair warning: this watch is no athlete, and water is its worst enemy. Keep it on during a light rain or while doing the dishes - but skip the shower, the bath, the pool, and definitely the deep end. It was built for dry land, and that's where it thrives.
