The Watch

Casio is one of the most recognized watch brands in the world, offering a diverse lineup of timepieces packed with advanced technology and impressive features - all at an accessible price point. Among its most iconic collections is the G-Shock line, featuring rugged, shock-resistant models built to last. From this series, we present the GA-2100RC-1AER watch, housed in a carbon fiber reinforced resin case measuring 45.4 mm in diameter, 48.5 mm lug-to-lug, and 11.8 mm thick, weighing just 51 grams. A mineral crystal shields the dial from impacts, while 2 metallic pushers on each side of the case handle the watch's various functions and complications. Finally, a screw-back case back ensures 20 ATM water resistance.

The Dial

Classic and refined, the dial of this model features a dual display for timekeeping. With a black background and LED backlight, it showcases applied indices in green alongside an engraved minute track punctuated by small rectangular markers in beige. Between 3 and 6 o'clock, a digital sub-dial displays the date, month, and alarm, among other functions. At 9 o'clock, a counter shows the day of the week. Hours and minutes are indicated by two sword hands in green. These hands and the indices are coated with Neobrite luminescent material for clear readability in the dark. The brand name sits just below 12 o'clock, while the water resistance rating is printed at 3 o'clock.

For precision lovers: countdown timers keep you on track for important or recurring events by sounding an alert at the set date and time. Time can be programmed in seconds, up to 24 hours in advance.

5 Daily Alarms

A daily alarm reminds you of your deadlines at the programmed time. This model comes with five independent alarms, giving you the flexibility to stay on top of every important appointment.

Key beep on/off

The key beep can be turned off using the mode button. Once disabled, no beep sounds when switching between functions. However, any programmed alarms or countdowns remain active after the key beep is turned off.

Hand Shift Function

This function moves the hands when they obstruct the visibility of the time, date, or stopwatch display.

Auto Calendar

Once set, the auto calendar always displays the correct date.

12/24-Hour Time Format

You can display the time in 12-hour or 24-hour format.

Movement

The analog display of this watch and its other functions are powered by a quartz movement, driven by a battery with an approximate life of 3 years.

The Strap

This model features a sleek black strap crafted from resin. Durable and tough, it complements the case design with a banded surface finish and closes with a tang buckle.

Water Resistance

This model offers a water resistance of 20 atmospheres, or 200 meters - making it a serious companion for deep-water activities. Built for freediving, it also handles high-pressure washers without a second thought. Showering, bathing, lap swimming, and freediving are all fair game. That said, for scuba diving with tanks, we recommend a timepiece with a higher water resistance rating. Also, avoid operating the crown or pushers while submerged to protect the movement.
