The Watch

HGP is a watchmaking brand that catered to enthusiasts and professionals throughout its years of activity, from the 1970s to the 1990s. It forged strategic partnerships with revered figures in the French watchmaking industry, including Georges Monnin, the legendary case maker. Today, the brand presents this striking Blue Commando Automatic watch from the Diver collection - a perfect companion for water sports. It features a Monnin® case crafted in 316L stainless steel with brushed and polished finishes. The case measures 42 mm in diameter, 47 mm in length, and 13.20 mm in thickness - a perfect fit for men's wrists. It is fitted with a 120-click unidirectional bezel with countdown graduation, featuring a black anodized aluminum insert and Superluminova C3 markers. The case is topped with a flat sapphire crystal protecting the dial from scratches and impacts, with an anti-reflective coating for superior visibility. Hours and minutes are set via the screw-down crown at 3 o'clock. Finally, a screwed case back ensures water resistance of 20 ATM, or 200 meters.

The Dial

Enhanced by a blue dial, this model delivers a clean, striking design. A minute track runs along the edge for easy timekeeping, flanked by indexes swept by three hands indicating hours and minutes, while the seconds hand completes the display. All indicators feature a Superluminova C3 coating for excellent low-light legibility. White Arabic numerals sit alongside the indexes for added clarity. To finish, H.G.P. signs its creation at 12 o'clock with its name.

The Movement

This men's watch is powered by an automatic movement of Japanese manufacture - specifically the Seiko NH38 caliber with 24 jewels - ensuring reliable timekeeping. The movement features a stop-seconds device and delivers a power reserve of 41 hours. Its oscillation frequency is 21,600 vibrations per hour.

The Strap

This model comes with two strap options to suit your style:

The first strap in 316L stainless steel features a silver tone. It is composed of machine-milled, hand-brushed links with a rice grain link finish. It measures 21 cm in length and fits wrists up to 24.50 cm. The strap has a width of 16 mm at the buckle, while its deployant clasp measures 17.50 mm wide and 35 mm long.

The second strap is crafted in blue rubber, matching the dial's tone. It measures 195 mm in length, and its generously perforated design allows your wrist to breathe while adding to the overall aesthetic. It fastens via a pin buckle 16 mm wide and comes with three keepers - two slim ones at 6 mm and one wider at 12 mm.

Note that the lug width of both straps is 20 mm.

Water Resistance

This model offers water resistance of 20 atmospheres, or 200 meters - making it a true dive companion. Built for freediving, it can also handle high-pressure washers without missing a beat. Showers, baths, lap swimming, and freediving are all fair game. For scuba diving with tanks, however, we recommend a timepiece with a higher water resistance rating. And as always, keep the crown clear while submerged to protect the movement.
