The Watch

The story of French Maison LIP begins in Besançon in 1867. The brand has created iconic timepieces worn by celebrities, and its collections showcase a craftsmanship that is both artisanal and innovative - one that has left its mark on the history of French watchmaking. Among its legendary creations is the Big TV, reimagined in a new reference: 671659. Inspired by the Portavia 111 portable television designed by Roger Tallon, this watch features a square case with clean, precise lines. Crafted in stainless steel with a fine black PVD coating and a brushed finish, the case measures 35 mm and is topped with a flat sapphire crystal for outstanding scratch resistance. Uniquely, the crown is positioned at 12 o'clock rather than 3 o'clock - ridged and flat, it handles hour and minute setting. The case back provides 5 ATM water resistance.

The Dial

This watch houses a minimalist, clean, easy-to-read dial. Its matte black base contrasts beautifully with the white markers and the monochromatic case. A circular minute track runs along the outer edge, punctuated by white dots and slim batons at every 5 minutes representing the hours. The center opens up to baton hands and a fine seconds hand. The brand's signature appears below 12 o'clock, the movement type above 6 o'clock, and the finishing touch is the "Besançon France" inscription - a nod to the watch's origins.

The Movement

This model is powered by a Japanese-made automatic movement - specifically the Miyota 82S0 caliber, offering a power reserve of 39 hours, 21 jewels, and a frequency of 21,600 (3 Hz) vibrations per hour. Reliable and high-performing, it drives the analog display with efficiency.

The Bracelet

An elegant, supple strap supports this watch. Crafted in cowhide leather with a charming black perforated finish, it fastens securely with an ardillon buckle without compromising the strap's refined style.

Water Resistance

With a water resistance of 5 atmospheres - equivalent to 50 meters - this watch is a solid entry into the world of water resistance. While it's not designed for the bath, lap swimming, or diving, you can safely forget to take it off in the shower. That said, all our experts recommend keeping this timepiece dry as much as possible to protect its movement for years to come.
