The Watch

German watchmaker Meistersinger and Ocarat are proud to present the Bell Hora Notre-Dame Edition Watch Meistersinger x Ocarat - Limited Edition. This is an exclusive edition born from a collaboration with Ocarat Lab, limited to 70 numbered pieces and inspired by the design of the stained-glass windows of Notre-Dame Cathedral. With over 10 million visitors every year, this monument is a true icon of Paris and France. Following the devastating fire of April 2019, the cathedral underwent a lengthy restoration until 08/12/2024, the date of its reopening. It is for this reason that Meistersinger founder Manfred Brassler and Ocarat joined forces to create this magnificent watch as a tribute to this historic monument.

Crafted with exceptional attention to detail, this timepiece graces a men's wrist with understated elegance. Its case is round, measuring 43 mm in diameter with a thickness of 13 mm - dimensions that sit comfortably and naturally on the wrist. It is crafted from brushed and polished stainless steel and finished in an attractive gray. To protect the key elements from potential impacts, a domed sapphire crystal covers the dial. At 3 o'clock, a gray, grooved crown provides a confident grip for adjusting the central hand, accompanied by a push-button of the same shade at 2 o'clock to activate or deactivate the chime of this Bell Hora. The model features a engraved caseback secured by screws, ensuring a water resistance of 5 ATM. For added character, the center is fitted with a mineral glass decorated with a black rosette with black lines echoing the design of the stained-glass window.

The Dial

This dial boasts an original and captivating design, adding a striking touch to the timepiece. As the most eye-catching element of this model, it features a smoky blue background overlaid with an ivory-colored grid. This grid echoes the design of one of the stained-glass windows of Notre-Dame, considered among the masterpieces of Gothic art. The background reveals a minute track along its edge, marked every 30 minutes. Each dash on the track represents 5 minutes and alternates with Arabic numerals for greater precision when reading the hours. These markers are swept by a single white hand fitted with a red triangle. Below, the name of the edition is inscribed alongside a bell motif - a subtle nod to this watch's original chiming function. Opposite, just below 12 o'clock, the brand's logo and name are displayed as a signature.

The Movement

At the heart of this timepiece beats an automatic MS Bell movement based on the Sellita SW200, equipped with an in-house chiming mechanism. Its sonic chime accumulates the energy needed over 60 minutes to deliver a precise, well-measured strike against the fork located behind the dial, signaling the passing of each hour. It beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and is fitted with 26 jewels to reduce friction. This Swiss mechanism is highly reliable over time and delivers a power reserve of approximately 38 hours.

The Strap

This stunning strap will elevate your look for any occasion. It is crafted from high-quality cowhide leather, oak bark-tanned and hand-dyed, giving it suppleness and long-lasting durability. It will conform to your wrist effortlessly while lending you an elegant style thanks to its beige contrast stitching. In a rich brown shade, this charming strap features a lug width of 20 mm and secures to your wrist with a pin buckle.

Water Resistance

This model offers a water resistance of 5 atmospheres, or 50 m. It is designed to be strikingly beautiful and shine in any social setting. Yet this precious quality in no way diminishes the model's ability to brave the elements. You may wear this watch in the shower, though the Ocarat team recommends leaving it gently on the edge of the sink to preserve its brilliance and integrity longer. For swimming and scuba diving, we strongly advise against wearing this watch, as doing so risks damaging it and incurring repair costs.
