The Watch

The century-old manufacture Union Glashütte is dedicated to capturing the very essence of fine German watchmaking. Here, the D009.427.16.262.02 from the Belisar Chronograph collection showcases a 44 mm diameter, 15 mm thick case in polished and brushed 316L stainless steel. This sporty yet sober watch makes an ideal everyday companion. It is protected by sapphire crystal glass on both sides of the case, featuring an anti-reflective coating for optimal legibility. The caseback is not only transparent but also screw-secured, ensuring water resistance up to 10 ATM. A beautifully finished crown sits at 3 o'clock, flanked by two pushers that allow effortless control of the chronograph function.

The Dial

Featuring a round, two-tone dial, this watch strikes the perfect balance between classic and contemporary. Two large sword-shaped hands display hours and minutes, while the seconds hand stands out with its slender profile and red tip. For the chronograph function, you'll find three sub-dials: a 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock, a 60-second counter at 9 o'clock, and a 12-hour counter at 6 o'clock. A date window is positioned at the 6 o'clock index for added convenience. Time markers are rendered as Arabic numeral indices, complemented by a subtle minute track running along the dial's perimeter. Finally, the house equips the outer ring with a Tachymeter - a measurement instrument used to calculate the speed of a moving object.

The Movement

The automatic movement inside this timepiece is as powerful as it is beautiful. Produced and signed by Union Glashütte, the UNG-27.S1 displays hours, minutes, and small seconds. It also features a date window, a chronograph, and sub-dials. It boasts an impressive 65-hour power reserve and a stop-seconds function.

The Strap

A black nubuck leather strap with light-colored stitching completes the look. It fits a 21 mm lug width and fastens with a pin buckle to hug your wrist perfectly.

Water Resistance

This model offers water resistance up to 10 atmospheres, or 100 meters. Yes - this is a genuinely water-resistant watch! With its sporty character, it's ready to take the plunge alongside you. From puddles to the pool, this timepiece handles splashes without complaint. Showering, bathing, and recreational swimming are no problem. That said, our Ocarat watchmaking experts note that while this model is water-resistant, it is not suitable for diving (professional or otherwise) and is sensitive to high-pressure cleaning equipment. We also recommend avoiding use of the crown or pushers while submerged.
